This project has been in development hell almost as long as Cameron's 16 avatar sequels. SW land in Anaheim has almost caught up to this project, and they've been working on it for 6 months. lol

I know, it puzzles me too. Unfortunately, none of the pics (at least the ones I've seen) from when the model was shown to the public, consentrates on that corner. You can see the 2 "floating" mountains, but not anything else.

Thanks for sharing. This is my first time seeing this. Cool. All Disney has to do is promote this like Universal did WWOHP and they will have a hit on thier hands. I have been worried that people woukd not be excited over an Avatar based attracion, but this is going to be something everyone will want to see, Avatar fan or not. They just don't know they want to see this yet. Promote it right, and people will be planning trips just for this.

Hah!

Really hope they have the sense to have used producer Jon Landau (clearly not an actor) for the D23 video only and will refrain from making him some kind of wink-wink, pat-ourselves-on-the-back pre-show character for the rides.

I think that's an unfair comparison. OBE seems to be nothing like Thick, and at least IMO, is a good contributor here.

I kind of like the Flock of Seagulls boy, but then I think 1983 was awesome. Actually, I found it funny that Rohde has his head angled so we wouldn't see his incredibly dangly earlobe. Maybe he's gotten the message that once that thing makes an appearance, no one is going to remember anything else.
