AVATAR breaks ground

The Epcot Manifesto
But we are getting licorice coke INSTEAD of bacon coke. That is the issue. And I don't think Disney believes in this project, but that Iger's ego won't let it die. My guess is people who understand Disney (like Rohde) are having this project shoved down their throats, but are grateful to finally be able to do something.
But was Bacon Coke ever really on the table? And I'm speaking of recently, not at some point in the past. What if it were Licorice Coke or nothing?

I believe the guy in hiding said it was dead.

Dead, dead dead.

Or something like that. Said it wasn't in development stage yet blueprints were leaked, even then it was still troubled. And now it breaks ground, like its been being worked on the whole time. The only thing reliable was the fact none of them knew nothing. I openly laugh with a huge grin holding my belly.

My opinion of course, people can believe what or whom they want.

Jimmy Thick- How many times has Disney pwned the "insiders" now?
Nobody of repute said it was completely dead. That is just a lie you and a few others have repeated so much you now believe it to be true.

Like I said in previous threads 2 rides and some nighttime stuff does not turn this park into a full day park by any stretch.
No, but it does probably put it above both DHS and Epcot for me at that point in time. Both parks aren't really in line to get anything opened before Avatar as it looks right now and I already enjoy my time at DAK a lot. I just need a reason to stay longer. Both Epcot and DHS are a struggle to get through at times with their lack of rides. Epcot can get by since it has a whole half of the park dedicated to shopping/dining/drinking, but DHS simply can't anymore. Epcot and DHS are both a mess and they won't be easy fixes. The good thing about DAK is it's actually in great shape in terms of what it has. It just needs a few more rides, a dark ride specifically (Mystic Manor...).

I agree. In my answer to the Thick one I meant you'd think a multi million dollar expansion seen by many as the saviour of the under invested in park would be more than just two attractions and would include an E.

You'd think.

You'd hope.

Did you know the "Avatar groundbreaking" is featured on multiple facebook pages? I went to the wrong one first and wondered at all the comments about complaining - https://www.facebook.com/Avatar
781 comments out of which 780 or so are orgasmic.
All the Mr. and Mrs. Complainy Pants are found in the 1,100 comments here - https://www.facebook.com/WaltDisneyWorld. I'm sure this is considered a success by Disney. All the complainers are going to Disney all the time while the super excited people are a potential new market. Besides, this land is going to kick 10 different kinds of butt.

EDIT: And please, nobody should trot out that Internet myth that Rowling was too difficult to work with. If that were true, how did Uni please her despite outsourcing almost everything to third parties? That doesn't include the obvious cost-cutting measures at Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippograff.

But if she was difficult to work with, it'll make a great movie in 50 years.. "Saving Mr Potter" It can have Meg showing JK how great the park is.... oh wait...very different ending
