Ariel's Adventure (Little Mermaid E Ticket) CONFIRMED!

 We know!

This isn't just you. Why is everyone starting to doubt this announcement....? We've seen the concept art and everything, and Disney is always precise with conveying the concept art. So, why the doubt?

I think it depends on your personal interpretation of E ticket vs. D-ticket. I consider Tokyo's Monster's Inc Ride & Go Seek to be a D-ticket... and it has elaborate scenes, AAs, etc. I'm sure some people here would consider it an E.

If this were a 6+minute omnimove, with a distinct preshow, I would classify it as an E. But I believe it's in the 4-5 minute range with no pre-show. And it is a book report (maybe re-ordered?) of the film.

I think Mermaid will be a fantastic, and much needed, addition to the park, but my expectations are set at D-level. Maybe they'll be surpassed.

I put together this side-by-side comparison... the show-scenes part of the building is not that much bigger than Pooh.

The D-E distinction isn't anything to excited over. If it makes people happy to think of it as an E, go ahead.

I don't believe this will be an E-Ticket at all. And that's not what I hear from folks in the know.

An E-Ticket is more akin to say Radiator Springs Racers at DCA or Mystic Manor at HKDL or even the Grizzly Mine Train at HKDL.

This is a 21st century take on a Disney dark ride based on a classic film.

It will be good. It will raise the bar on that type of ride. But ... it's no E.

And to be fair, I thought the ride time was longer than what I've read here.

The Show Producer Lisa Girolami says it's an E-Ticket so I am going to go with the source.

There's no use in telling people. They'll believe what they want to think. Ignoring common sense is frequent here (and most everywhere).:lol::lookaroun

Hopefully all the AAs work. :)
Ursula will have a B mode...? Lovely.

I've heard the opposite...Isn't it supposed to be Lavish, and VERY techy/effecty? :lookaroun:lol:

The facade is huge for WDW, I know that...Even if it just looks like that on the art.

The DCA footprint. I'm sure(hope) it'll be an E, but the footprint just doesn't look as big as I expected.

you'd be surprised at what Disney could do with very limited space. DL is a great example - not as much room as other Disney parks, but is able to squeeze in plenty of rides outside/under/around the berm. TLM at DCA has a decent sized location

I wouldn't worry too much about the AAs in the ride. Ariel's hair alone is supposed to be impressive.. possibly the first audio animatronic wig? :)

I thought they haven't quite tackled that challenge yet?

And are they going 2 stories at DCA? They're digging quite a bit!

I've read the hair is indeed happening.. not 100% sure though. Are they going 2 stories? I'm not sure about that either :lookaroun It would be great if they did - a multi-level ride would be amazing. There's a mystery two-story model that is briefly shown in the Blue Sky Cellar video but i'm not sure if that's for TLM or not.

here's the latest update of the construction at DCA. unfortunately the trees cover up most of it.

thanks to Dateline Disneyland for the picture.

Those trees were planted there to block views from the wheel right? ________________...

I REALLY hope it's 2 stories!

I think the big thing that dosnt help the site for Mermaid at DCA is how massive Paradise Park( WOC viewing area) WOC/lagoon are. Compared to the Mermaid site plus the angle of that the pictures and those trees dont help. Well DCA does need trees now that they ripped so many out.

yeah, the TLM lot is certainly bigger than it appears in pictures. Paradise Park obviously isn't as green right now since it's under construction.. but the trees around the GRR area have certainly grown in nicely. Looks like a nice dense forest there :)

here's another picture of the TLM construction area from about a week ago, shows the intricate digging going on:

If you look at Google Earth or any of the mapping programs that have an ariel view the Little Mermaid building looks like it might be about as large as the Haunted Mansion. That seems plenty big to me. I don't know if it will be an "e" ticket. It has the potential but it will depend on how many great effcts they put in and whether they keep them going. I sounds like it may, at the least, be a very nice "D" ticket like 'Soarin'.

Oh, I know, and not that it really matters. I mean TSMM is a D, and it's still a great attraction(even if a tad overrated).

And yes, AA hair will be totally BA.
