Ariel's Adventure (Little Mermaid E Ticket) CONFIRMED!

Disagree. Both are equally beautiful, and equally fitting for their respective parks.

There's no way I can be convinced TLM fits California or a pier. Cars and WoC, fine. But this ride just doesn't fit PP in any shape or form.

And I think our facade will put ours way past theirs. The whole Ariel area is just SO beautiful. Hope we get what they painted.

I guess, but technically it isn't that big of a stretch. Paradise Pier represents not only the boardwalk, but the ocean/sea theme as well. If TDS can feature an Australian turtle in their American Waterfront.. then anything is possible

Good for you.

Doesn't mean the building will not be breathtaking.

To me, ours is more real. There exterior isn't very "out there" in the sense that there are probably many buildings in cities with more originality than that.

The only party I kinda really like about DCA's is the possible Ariel in stained glass and their half circle entrance.

But it's a Californian pier, and TDS has gotten a lot of crap over that from fans.

Well I agree with Scar about the TLM facade... It does not in any way fit in with Paradise Pier or California.

Ugh I know the Ariel area looks soo amazing! It looks like there will be a shop or some other building in front of the actual ride(as seen on the concept art). Wonder what that is.

I've never seen buildings like that where I live. In fact the building it is based on was burned down almost a century ago.

right, I know it's a Californian pier. I was just pointing out that PP includes the sea/aquatic theme as well.

The facade fits perfectly into the pier setting. I can understand the argument about the ride's theme not fitting.. but the facade absolutely fits.

But there are buildings with way more originality. The exterior is so bland for such a fun, colorful, and exciting ride/theme.

You can't find these buildings anywhere else! :D
I only see using previous buildings necesary for a ride that has nothing to do with chracters. Like Pirates, ToT, and WS pavillions.

Paradise Pier aquatic theme? Which other aquatic/sea attractions do they have? Jumping Jellyfish :)lookaroun:lol:)? It's just one giant stretch on theme.

Hmm... the really colorful one is in TDS? Oh and are you talking about WDW's TLM with that other one?

yeah i've seen those pictures before, thank you. as pretty and colourful as they are, they would stick out like a sore thumb in a Victorian-era boardwalk setting. I'm too tired to discuss this now - what is it, like two years till opening!? maybe i'll come back and discuss this once once we are closer to the opening date :D

Yeah... How about we discuss the actual ride inside. How do you think the animatronics will be? Let's talk about the special effects, the entrance to the ride in WDW's version seems interesting apparently you go in through these large holes in the hillside.

All the more reason why it doesn't belong.:p

Yes, they are both takes on Mermaid exteriors and I think they both got it right.

Right, and it works perfectly for them, seeing it's in the Ship, and you look out of a window in the Hull.

I've seen nothing but praise.

I know this was dismissed earlier, but I'm willing to bet that this ride will have a fastpass for at least the first few years.

Um, no. We were talking facades/exterior.

So was I. The exterior doesn't belong with the ride that should be colorful and bright. I think the bulding will probably be beautiful, but the two together (ride and exteriror facade) just don't fit for me, and it probably never will. It seems like DCA needed a quick fix and borrowed the idea of the Little Mermaid ride. It may not be true, but it just SEEMS like it.

Into a grotto area, or so the queue seems to lead into one. And we've been hearing from Lasseter that the animatronics were going to actually talk and stuff. Hope they get it right! Nothing is known about special effects though, or so I think.

Right, and it works perfectly for them, seeing it's in the Ship, and you look out of a window in the Hull.

Yes, but the ship is an American ship featuring an "Australian" turtle. It did get a lot of criticism on other topic boards I've read while in construction, too. I think they pulled it off in the end due to Crush really having a Californian accent, which probably is a stereotype of Americans for the Japanese. (he does have a surfer Japanese accent right? :veryconfu:lol: Hard to imagine!)

Let's hope...

I am curious as to how the effect in the image below will work. Maybe like Madame Leota in HM?
