Not only will there be strobes on BAU, they will also have the ability to turn off the lighting on the ceiling, freeze Ariel's hair in a particularly menacing pose, and strobe it.

I love the new Fantasyland coming but I have some major gripes with it. Is it true that they are "replacing" Toon Town with the expansion? If that IS the case then I am ed. Here is my reason....boys. What attraction there will be focused on little boys? As a female I think it is cool. But as the mother to two boys, I am upset beacuse there will be nothing for them. Now taking away Mickey's house, Barnstormer, etc., will really make that so.

Does anyone know why they are axing Toon Town and if they plan on making some rides in Fantasyland fro boys??

Yes, Toontown Fair is being destroyed. But the Barnstormer is staying. It's just going to be rethemed. :)

TLM seems to be a universal experience.

Thanks for trying but TLM is not really a universal experience. I like it, but not my kids. I tried to get my 6 yr. old to see the broadway show and wouldn't go with me.

It is all female orientated. I am saddened and disappointed by this.

Yeah, he saw the movie and even knows a couple of the songs but isn't into it anymore. He said it is girlie. :) When he was younger he listened to it/watched it because I liked it. Now he forms his own opinions. My little one will follow his big brother.

I think girls def get the upper hand. They can do the princess thing and also do Toy Story, Muppets, pirates, the Fab 5 and more. Boys are limited so by taking the boy attractions out does not seem like a great idea in my book. Even for myself I am upset about Toon Town. At least if they kept it having all of the girlie additions to Fantasyland wouldn't have been so bad but by taking it away leaves boys with not many options.

You make an excellent point. For any male the age of 18, the Little Mermaid attraction will be a Chick Ride.

It's the theme park equivalent of a white VW Rabbit Cabriolet parked outside of cheerleader practice.

Because Walt didn't buy enough property in Florida to allow for a full Mickey's Toontown AND a modestly sized Fantasyland. They just don't have the room in Florida to do what they did in Disneyland.

I know this has been said before, but I'm not buying the "Fantasyland expansion is only for girls" angle ... even if that was the case then Adventureland, Frontierland, and Tomorrowland are all geared towards boys, so it evens out.

However, I think the ride, much like the other dark rides will be universal because, even regardless of the story, it's going to be fun and engaging and etc ...

Exactly. A ride's a ride, in that respect.
