I'm sure Scuttle will be found AT LEAST in "Kiss De Girl", but maybe at the beach? And YES, I started an acronym!!!! You really CAN'T have a mermaid ride without BAU.

Sorry for double-post...

Ummmm... WHY is Poor Unfourtunate Souls there??????? Make NO sense. Maybe they're shoehorning Giant Ursula in-between Part of Your World & Finale??

And anyway, that seems different than the model, as Under The Sea is pictured (in the model) as being in the center of the building with the rest of the scenes around it...

AND there was a picture of Ursula gazing into her crystal bubble looking at "Kiss De Girl". So there's gonna be another Ursula figure at the in-between? Weird concept...

This is the final version. That art of Ursula gazing IS part of the "poor unfortunate souls" scene. I thought that wsa pretty obvious. Its not an exact redo of the movie.

^ That's kind of a let-down... So there's no BAU/Ursula defeated scene? That's a little lame.

This is not a ridethrough of the movie.

This is a series of vignettes based on the musical scenes from the film. Think of it more like It's a small world rather than a retelling of the film.

It tells the story but not in chronological order. This has been explained before. You can't have all the music in the ride including Ursula's song and not have her demise be a scene. There are also more ride scenes than songs in the movie.

Wait...seriously?

Huh...

This is what the original press release and the imagineers have been saying all along. It will still be good though. Im sure the BAU scene will be part of the final scene. But keep in mind in DCA they had limited space to squeze this ride in so they could only keep the 6 most important scenes from the film.

The Concept art I posted shows the whole ride.

So according to Conundrum... there's basically no story??? That doesn't sound right. If it's really just 6 scenes with no correlation except for characters, then I can't view this as E-Ticket... I can tell you there are going to be lots of disappointed little girls when Ursula remains alive at the end of the ride and there's little to no narrative... maybe they'll be able to squeeze BAU in like you said. I mean, the room for a single wedding boat's behind shouldn't take up as big of a room as Under The Sea.

But I thought that the model for the ride had put Ursula after Under the Sea. THAT'S what's throwing me off...

Yea, I hope this is not the case.

Um its no different than how Pirates of the Caribbean and Haunted Mansion have been for years????

They will show Ursula getting defeated im sure but it will be squeezed into the lsat scene probably.

Disneyson you may be thinking of the layout of the Tony Baxter version that came with the Little Mermaid DVD. This version is inspired by that but it will be different.

Contradictions...pretty revealing, huh.

Exactly. The songs explain the story (Fathoms Below, Part of Your World, Under the Sea, Poor Unfortunate Soul, Kiss the Girl). But they also must include Ursula's demise (evil can't prevail!), the Part of Your World Reprise on the rocks, Triton gettin' all ed off, and the happy ending with Triton rainbow....

Minus one or 2 of those minor scenes is okay, but the story must be explained.

Well, it's kind of hard when dealing with a movie, they have to complete it SOMEHOW. All other movie rides follow the plotline of the movie (SWSA, PPF) or make a new cohesive storyline (TSwN&F, TSM).

Here, they're scrambling the story with little to no narrative. I suppose we'll just have to see what happens in those in-between segments that we can't see. Surely WDI keeps surprises... we know that.

And if they miss out on making a reference to the famous "Ariel on the Rocks" scene (even outdoors on a sign ala TLS), that'll be quite sad.

But they also must include Ursula's demise (evil can't prevail!), the Part of Your World Reprise on the rocks, Triton gettin' all ed off, and the happy ending with Triton rainbow....

I have a feeling Triton is going in between PUS and UTS, PoyW is going MAYBE after UTS (although she may already be human by that point), and Ursula going before the finale, which I know will include the rainbow.
