OK, it's just about playoff time. the matchups are set, although it's amazing Seattle or St. Louis gets a playoff spot. No matter, the Saints will destroy either team.

time for the big time players to step up.

wdwdonkey style!

Hard for me to say being a life-long Dolphins fan, but I just can't see anybody stopping Tom Brady and the Pats again this year. They can throw rookies into their lineup at any time and they look like they have been playing in the Pats system for years!!! Indy is just too banged up this year and Brees and the Saints don't look as powerful as they did last year (not yet anyways). Pittsburgh probably has the best chance of challenging if it's not New England though.

Who knows though. That is why I LOVE the NFL!!! 5 teams in the playoffs this year that weren't in last year. Gotta love the parity in the league!!! :sohappy:

Being a Pats fan, I'm really liking their chances. But there are other teams I would be okay with seeing succeed as well. I'm really hoping to see an AFC Championship game between the Pats and the Chiefs. Matt Cassel being a former Pats player, it's been great seeing him do well as a starter in another system. Shows that his season starting in place of Brady wasn't a fluke. For the NFC, I'm pulling for a Falcons/Saints matchup in the NFC Championship. At that point, I would really be happy no matter who ended up winning. I like the Saints and I was a fan of Falcons QB Matt Ryan when he was playing for BC, so I want to see him win the big one sometime, even if I'm not huge on the Falcons themselves.

Overall, should be some really good games this playoff season.

I heard on the radio this morning that this is the 14th straight year that at least 5 teams have made it/not made it from the previous year. Shows how fast things can change. GO JETS! :D

I heard that too on NFL Network. And they even went as far as to say they believe there are at least 5 teams who they think have a legit shot at making it next year who aren't in this year. This is why I LOVE the NFL...it gives fans in every market hope that their team will eventually make it in. Of course, some MUCH sooner then others (poor Lions fans...your time is near)! :lookaroun

I always enjoy the playoffs. Since my team did not make it there is really no team that I am for in the playoffs.

I am curious how Peyton Manning and the Colts will do in the playoffs. They are a hard team to beat, but a lot of times they have bad luck in the playoffs. But I still believe that there is a good chance that Peyton Manning might get his second Super Bowl ring this year.

New England looks very strong and they have home field advantage. The playoffs seem wide open this year especially in the NFC, but New England and maybe the Steelers really look like they could go all the way. But even New England can be beat. For one thing I think the Chiefs match up well with New England.

Another team that people might not expect is a wildcard team. I am talking about the Packers. This team could very well be a danger in the playoffs.

By the way if they have not change the rule about how a team can win by a field goal in sudden death overtime in the playoffs I wish they would chance that rule soon. In fact I wish they would change that rule for the regular season also. I am not even a fan of sudden death overtime, but if they are going to do it I think they should do away with field goals in overtime. I say if they are going to do sudden death overtime you need to score either a touchdown or a safety to win the game.

Each team get a possesion in OT in playoffs.

As far as my Colts I think the injuries maybe to much to overcome.17 payers on IR this year including starters Sanders,Clark,Collie, and Powers plus Sanders replacement Bullitt who will be a starter next year with Fragile Bob released.

I'm still hoping that the Colts can do it...even though it has been a tough season for the team. 17 players on IR and 72 used this season on the roster. However, they have been playing well recently and their weaknesses have become strengths the last few weeks (rushing and rush defense). We just need receivers to keep the ball in their hands so we don't have a repeat of this past week's close game. If Garcon doesn't drop those passes the colts win by 14 instead of 3.

The craziest thing is that the Patriots and the Saints were both beaten by the Browns this season. Just a true showing that any team can beat any team on any given day.

I'm pulling for my Steelers. I think we have a really good chance. The only team that worries me is the Pats. They beat us pretty solidly this season. BUT as any Steelers fan I have an irrational belief that we cannot lose and will expect a Superbowl win every season.

I am not surprised that the Seahawks won. I understand that a lot of people thought that this would be an easy win for the Saints, but I was not so sure. For one thing any NFL team can beat any other NFL team. I have seen stuff like teams with a 3-9 record beat teams with a 10-2 record a lot of times. Also this is the playoffs and the Seahawks did have a 7-9 record but that is not the same as a 2-14 record or a 4-12 record. The Seahawks seem to play well at home a lot. I saw what they did to the Rams last week. Another thing that I did not know was the game that the Seahawks lost to the Saints in the Regular season was the Seahawks had a lot of field goals that could have been touchdowns or something like that.

Also wow what a run by Lynch to give the Seahawks a 41-30 lead!!! I watched the game on my HDTV and I also had the Seahawks radio broadcast of the game. The Seahawks radio broadcast was a little behind the tv broadcast. After I saw that awesome touchdown run by Lynch, I made sure to listen to that play on the Seahawks radio network and they went crazy on that play!!!

The Jets and Pats drama this week is interesting. It will be fun to see how all of this will play out for the rest of the week and into the game on sunday.
