We were at Typhoon Lagoon and were given a free key to one of the storage lockers. When we opened it, it had a couple of the nice refillable mugs, a waterproof lanyard box for holding your money/cards, and 2 of the rental towels. It was a nice suprise and cost us nothing. I would guess the value at $20-30. :king:

I won on Tuesday!

I was in Animal Kingdom on Tuesday morning (Halloween) and had just finished riding Everest. As the train pulled into the exit area, they announced that the whole train had won a lanyard and pin set!

My dream has come true! One down, 999,999 to go! :p

After hearing all these reports about people winning these "dreams", I'm going to be disappointed if I don't win anything. :(
Don't be disappointed. If you think about it, only a small selection of people win...even Magical Moment prizes. It just seems like a lot because they are all being posted on here, but I bet if you looked at the grand scheme of things, it would only be like 5% or less of the people who visit Disney who are getting anything at all.

As hard as it may be, don't be disappointed if you don't win, be happy for those who do win...

(Trust me, I wanna win as much as the next person, but I'm not going to be horribly upset if I don't.)

Glowtini

The most common incarnation of the celebration are the numerous glow-in-the-dark icecubes in the Glowtinis. I was at WDW last week and did not see the Dreamsqaud the enite time. I did see a few people with Dream Fastpasses, and a family was chosen to play some musical instruments before Mickey's Philharmagic, but aside of that you would never know anything out-of-the-ordinay was happening. That said, we had an awesome time!

We were there last week and we saw quite a few people walking around with the ultimate fastpass. We also saw a cast member hand some coins to some kids (not sure what was on them. I think they were gold). The kids (around 7 and 9) were totally ungreatful. They looked at the CM as if she had 3 heads. They just walked on, and didn't even say thank you. My kids would have LOVED them. (They spent half of the vacation collecting pressed pennies).

I hoped we would see more presentations (even experience one) of these gifts, but unfortunatly, we didn't. I expect it will pick up more in the next few months. It still seems as though they are finishing up with the HCOE stuff(including the bags your purchases go in.) I imagine it will really begin in earnest in January, when they can offer the room in the castle on a daily basis.

Nope. I'm gonna be disappointed.

My family and I were fortunate enough to be granted with many "dreams".
Oct. 28 to Nov. 4

1. We were picked as "Family of the Day" at ToT. My DS and DD were honerary Bellman with costumes and got to escort people off the ride, then we were all taken on the ride by ourselves back to back!!!

2. My family was chosen to have our "pic" taken at AK to be put in the Travel Channels Disney Christmas episode. They said they were putting in pics of different families that were riding expedition everest for the first time and we then got to ride the ride and then had to tell them about it after that. I had to sign 3 pages of release forms!!!

3. We were also the "Family of the Day" at Rose and Crowne Pub in Epcot! We didn't have reservations and it was about 8:00 (very very busy time) but we thought it can't hurt just to ask if they have a table open, and to our surprise we were seated instantly at a table that was decorated with Pooh and Tigger stickers, crowns and confetti. We were given a free appatizer and had the best seat in the hous for Illuminations!!!

Wait I was there that day. When did this happen? And again another time that I was either riding the ride or in the wrong line to get a lanyard. I am so mad.

I was hoping to win a free churro, but sadly I haven't won anything yet.

I got one of those for free when I went to Disney back in May. :p Had nothing to do with this celebration, but the Mexican Cantina guy was quite nice to look at. Now, if I could've gotten a day with him as my "dream"...*cough* Yes. Anyway... :p

I got a YOMD lanyard w/ 2 pins as did the entire audience in "The Magic Of Disney Imagination". I did capture there announcement that we all had won them on video....along with 18 hours of video of my entire Disney experience.. BTW....The Dream Fastpasses would've been a waste the days I was there last week being every ride was a walk-on.

Epcot "Dream"

I wasn't apart of the "dream" myself, but I watched the announcment as I was with the Entertainment staff at the time.

Twice a week Epcot is handing out 1500-2000 wristbands to guest and tell them to hang out at the World Showcase Plaza after Illuminations. They then tell the crowd that they now have Sorin, Nemo, Test Track, and Mission Space open to t hem for an extra hour and a half. Then they do two more fireworks and the inforno barge blow off with Mickey kicking it off.

Not a bad deal, 4 attractions split between 2000 guest!!!

I have now won 2 YOMD pin lanyards. Once coming out of the library at TOT and once while boarding M:S. And to all those (I was one of them) who feel they will be left out due to no kids, etc... it is very random, right place right time. They were happy to give me the 2nd lanyard while I was wearing the first, saying "wow! aren't you lucky"

We'll be there in mid-to-late January for 6 nights (Hoping Monsters Inc. will be open by the 17th!). I'm going with the mindset that we won't win anything. That way, if we do win something, it's that much better. :)

That was my mindset.....personally I was just happy to be on vacation......winning something was just an added bonus.

I won something today!

I stayed home from work today (sick) and received a great little pick-me-up. The mailman came to my door and I had to sign for a small padded envelope from DisneyParks. To my surprise, I had won a YOAMD lanyard with two pins!

One pin features Mickey and Minnie, and the other has Donald and Goofy. Other than the characters, the pins are identical. The lanyard is silverish with Year of a Million Drems in white lettering, and Where my dream came true in blue lettering. The castle in the clouds logo appears between the two phrases.

Although I am not a pin collector, I like my lanyard and pins. It was a really nice surprize on a day when I am feeling under the weather.

I entered online and via mail, so even if you aren't able to go to the parks during the YOAMD, you could still win a prize.

That's really cool! Bringing a piece of the magic right to your front door. Congrats!
