Yesterday morning I went to the Magic Kingdom right when it opened and I went on the Haunted Mansion. After we got off there was a CM standing there handing out dream fastpasses, I was lucky enough to get one. This morning a few members of my family went back to the MK right when they opened again and they found out they were passing out the dream fastpasses at the exit of Big Thunder Mountain. So if you get there when it opens and pick the right rides, you could get a dream fastpass.

I also got to jump to the front of a 90 minute line on Soarin'. All I did was walk to the up to a CM and ask if he thought it was really 90 minutes and he said "not for you" and he escorted us all the way to the door that leads into the actual ride.

Actually the online contest is not the Daily YOAMD's giveaways. It's a separate giveaway of one grand prize. The only way to enter for the YOAMD prizes - like the lanyards - is in the parks or through the mail.

I won 4 prizes through the mail also, so it is possible!!:sohappy:

I just got a card left by my mail carrier saying that I have a certified parcel from "Walt Disney" that requires a signature. Looks like I've won something, too. I'll have to pick it up on my way to work tomorrow. :D

(Please let it be the DVC membership... Please let it be the DVC membership....) :animwink:

Rob, I've learned that unless you're winning a big prize (fingers crossed for you!! ) if the box on the certified mail slip for large envelope or envelope is checked it is the pin and lanyard. If the box for package is checked it's the mouse ears!! Congrats!:sohappy:

When we were there in the beging of December , on our last day , we went to see last minute pics at the Kodac place, well while leaving the building a member of the dream squad(although my babe and i thought at first it was a survey) asked if we had a few minutes to spare if we gop back inside for a question... welll she looks at my girls who are 3 and 6 and asked if our little princess's and us would like a private get meeting with cinderella....well our respose was yes , of course...well me the big sap already started filling up...our girls ran to cinderella who was in a private room in the kodac building...my little one( and i'll have to try and upload them ) would not let her go...cinderella was well....so magical....it was so nice to spend time with her and not feel like there was a line waiting..and she was wonderful ..it was a perfect way to end our vacation....magical....and when you ask our 3 year old about that meeting she just says 'Yeah ,I did'nt want to let her go Mama".
I know to some it's nothing and yes we have seen cinderella before...but this was so different.....like i said before....Magical.....We were picked by the dreamsquad.....very magical.....and now we are all and I say all are in withdrawals.....september is just to far!!!!!!

I entered a contest every day online in Aug Sep Oct? It was on the Disney site and I am sure it was for more than one prize.....it ended when the official YOMD began in October.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....well will let you know if I get a package anyhow!!! Definately more than one contest, obviously there are some still going on!:king:

my family and i were the first family of the day on splash mountain and we got a certificate and a free picture...and then they walked us over to big thunder mountain and we got to go in the back way and ride that too...it was a fun way to start our vacation even though we got completely soaked!

Yeah, it was the ears. They're now adorning the top of my monitor at work. :)

I got a tink pin @ epcot for being nice to a cast member that just had some jerk scream at him for the prices of the merchandise. I gave the other pin to a 20 year navy seal veteran.

My mother got paper fast passes at MGM to ride on anyride.

My kids got the pixie dust/Tinkerbell pins. My wife and I were talking to a CM about Disney's best kept secret. (In case you haven't heard, Disney has a vacation club. :lookaroun ) Anyway, the CM gave my kids--ages four and six--a couple of strips of DVC stickers to play with. My kids, on their own, proceeded to hand those stickers out to passersby. The CM saw it and gave them the pins for "spreading the magic"! :king:

I don't think this counts.

But.

I went to pin trade with one of the Dream Team-ers. She had a few mystery pins on and said "I think you'd really like this one *wink*"

So I picked it and it was the Mickey & Minnie Year of a Million Dreams pin that is given out on the lanyards.

Someone had traded it with her, but she hinted that I should pick it. So it wasn't something I won, but I love it just the same. I feel like a winner :)

Yesterday, my girlfriend and I were about to walk the Asian Walking Tour and walked into the dream squad and got the pins that everyone has been getting. I thought it was random to be on the walking tour but it felt good.

Our group of 13 at the time all got the cloud blue mickey ears getting off of Indy Speedway. The next day my niece got the Tinkerbell pin at Epcot. three days later grandma and oldest daughter got the lanyards/pin.
9th day my youngest daughter traded for a mysery pin in Club Cool and got the yomd mickey special pin.

side note: on the bus back to CSR a man wanted to buy two pairs of our mickey ears...we said no thanks...then husband said "Yeah we've got to wait til we get home to put them on ebay"...uh the outcry from daughters, niece, nephews had the whole bus laughing. needless to say they now adorn the girls rooms and our entertainment unit in the family room!
Can't wait to go back this summer!

Back in the first week of December my wife , cousin , friend and me went to MGM. We decided to go on "The Great Movie Ride" first. Once we got in line to get into the actual ride vehicle we were awarded with dream fastpasses for MGM for the day. It allowed us a fastpass for Tower of Terror , Aerosmith , Little Mermaid , Star Tours , Indiana Jones Stunt Show & Lights Camera Motor Action Stunt Show. It was kinda fun showing off those badges all day. Still have mine hanging from my review mirror.
