Thank you! This looks awesome, and hopeful means no more unm.
I heard there is a good possibility of the re-opening date getting pushed back even further again.
Huh. Somebody put that line about the original show returning back into the Wikipedia article...
Not sure if its been reported on here yet but the latest rumor among the Tiki Cast Members who got a peak behind the construction wall one morning at 5am when opening Aladdin is that the new preshow will be an interactive queue.
Ugh really? Do we need an interactive queue in Tiki Room? The original 2 minute preshow isn't enough to keep people entertained? I really get a kick out of Disney's priorities, instead of fixing things like half the effects on Dionsaur they have to make sure queue in WDW is a touch screen. Oh well, as long as they build it like HM where I can choose to not take part in the interactive queue, that's fine with me.

In my mind, an interactive queue for the Enchanted Tiki Room (or any show for that matter) makes extreme sense. You have a 14 min show going on inside the building and in the mean time you have all these guest just standing around doing nothing staring at each other waiting to get in to the next show. Why not give them something to do?
I completely fail to understand the dislike behind the interactive queues. Do we have a bunch of Luddites on here? On an internet message board? Oh wait...
The queues are a good thing in my opinion. The queue theming has always been something that separated Disney from their competition.
if there are reports of an interactive queue, could it mean that we wont get tropical serinade but only the re opening of UNM?(with all the work for the queue and not the show)
hope not !!!!
Thats a scary question, never thought of that. :lookaroun lets hope not.

Queue theming always existed. The problem is, most people (especially now with the advent of texting and smartphones with games) are too distracted to really pay attention to any of it.
All most of these interactive queues do is slow the line down (Space Mountain being a fantastic example). I enjoyed Haunted Mansion, but I feel the extended queue is a little too light-hearted.
And in the end, these queues don't really add any actual substance to the attraction itself. For example, I agree wholeheartedly that Winnie the Pooh's new queue is quite aesthetically pleasing and will mesh very well with the rest of Fantasyland once the expansion is done, but when you get right down to it, none of the additions made serve any other purpose than distractions from the wait.

I guess for me, it's the aversion to the so-called interactivity. This may seem odd to say, but I think the interactive queues may be too interesting. A good queue or pre-show experience should subtly prepare you for what lies ahead. The interactive queues are more to distract you from the wait. It's like having a theater show begin with a musical overture, versus having a comedian come out and do jokes. It breaks the mood somehow.I completely fail to understand the dislike behind the interactive queues. Do we have a bunch of Luddites on here? On an internet message board? Oh wait...
