Agreed for a coaster with a story. As far as coasters go Steel Vengeance and Velocicoaster are 2 of the best for thrillsHsgrid’s is the best ride in the U.S.
I personally think Cosmic Rewind’s “story” is stupid, smug, unfunny and boring as heck. I love how repeat riders ignore it completely and just sidle over to wait at the room’s exit doors.
While I find the ride’s dialogue obnoxious, the “party in space” vibe after the backwards launch is fun. The coaster has a decent layout, and I like the centrifuge effect while circling the moon, but it’s not my favorite Disney coaster. I’d like the whole thing better if they’d lose the Guardians theme and let it fit in with rest of World Discovery/Celebration/Nature.
Best ride at EPCOT?It's not even the best ride at EPCOT.
That's not to say it's bad, because it isn't -- but it was a weak effort from WDI. The coaster itself is quite good, but the imagineering around it... not so much.
Best ride at EPCOT?
I agree.Spaceship Earth, despite the current poor descent and weaker narration. Everything else about it is just so good.
If I was only allowed to ride one attraction at current EPCOT it would be SSE.

Hard agree. SSE is probably my favorite ride in Disney World. That, Horizons and World of Motion are probably what sparked my love for Disney World. More robots > more thrills > more screens in my book.Spaceship Earth, despite the current poor descent and weaker narration. Everything else about it is just so good.

It wasn’t as dramatic, but was better than what replaced it.It didn't, though. The DCA version of Tower of Terror was significantly worse than the one at Hollywood Studios.
I like both but I feel Disney is at its best with high themed dark rides. IMO they aren't good with thrills.Reading comments like these, makes me think people's preference is more about ride type than anything else. Some people prefer faster rides (like Guardians) and other people prefer slow rides (like SSE), and I get the impression there's very few people that actually like both.
I like both, but slow rides feel more Disney to me (right or wrong.) I realize SM and BTMRR are as traditional Dinsey as Pirates, but audio animatronics is what Disney really introduced to the theme park formula. I can ride a roller coaster almost anywhere but only at Disney World can I see some schmoe in robot form recount cutting edge technology from a century ago and feel entertained.Reading comments like these, makes me realize that we all look for very different things in rides. Agreed. The thing about coasters is other parks do them much better.I like both, but slow rides feel more Disney to me (right or wrong.) Paris ToT shows it could have been improved instead of reskinning it.
GotchaI don't disagree -- my original point was just that Mission Breakout is a better Guardians attraction than Cosmic Rewind. I wasn't really commenting on whether it was better or worse than the DCA Tower of Terror.

Yeah, but I'm not really a coaster enthusiast so I probably don't appreciate all the moves it makes. Plus the coaster arms race will I'm sure outpace it sooner than we imagine, like the Donkey Kong coaster using a Kuka arm that's supposed to be coming from Universal. If you're talking about something like IncrediCoaster or Slinky Dog Dash, then you have a point. Cosmic Rewind is on a different planet (pun intended) technologically compared to what you'd find anywhere else.
