Disney World. 8 people in my party. Spent $10,000 on 4 rooms at all star music and one-park-per-day tickets**.

Check-In:
°Even tho I requested rooms towards the front, or beside each other... We got 2 rooms in the farthest back of country, and one room on the opposite side in Broadway. An absolutely atrocious distance to have to walk.

Epcot:
°Imagination. Figment AA barely moves. The last panel in the "blast" room had been down at least since my trip in June.

°Ratataouille. Broke down while we were on it. About 20 minutes.

°Mission: Space (Orange) broke down while waiting in line. Waited an additional half hour.

°Pictures didn't work for any of us on Spaceship Earth.

--------
Day off:
Disney Springs:
Nothing bad here. Just too crowded and too expensive to do anything... On a Tuesday afternoon.

--------
Magic Kingdom:
°Little Mermaid kept stopping and going the entire line and the entire ride. Ariel AA in rough shape.

°Buzz Light-year stopped about 12 times. Everyone in our party got to 999,999 before we could even finish the first room. Pointless.

°PeopleMover was down all day and never opened.

°My friend lost her magicband on Space Mountain. Told to go to City Hall. Went there at the end of the night, obviously didn't have it. The best they could do was have it the next day at city Hall or send it to Disney springs. No refund. No replacement. Nada. Zip. And we couldn't go to either two locations during the remainder of the week.

--------
Hollywood Studios

°Rope dropped ROTR and still waited about 2 hours. Went on it at night and it was a walk-on. What a waste of time that morning was.

°Slinky Dog Dash was down in the afternoon when we tried to get on. Then it was down in the evening when we tried again and never reopened.

°Luckily, we went to ToT after slinky and ended with Rockin. Rockin Roller coaster was down for 20 minutes while we waited in line.

--------------

Day off:
Hoop Dee Doo: This and Cirque we're the big highlights of the trip.

-------------
Animal Kingdom:

°Second carnotaurus still stuck in forward motion. Refurbed carno in picture looks great

°They cancelled the last 4 Nemo shows today without notice.

°Finally cracked and bought all 8 people Genie+ so we could ride some damn rides without waiting forever and then expecting them to break down.

------------

°Parks and resorts were in general just dirty. Food all over the floor, hairbands all over rides, water bottles and cups shoved in all sorts of crevices.

°Charging full price and parking fees at resort when you only get housekeeping every other day and all they do is change the towels. They don't even make the beds or sweep the floor.

°The app was very confusing to me for some reason this time. For whatever that input is worth. It's especially hard to find a certain attraction for a DAS pass when all 4 parks are grouped together.

°We had a party of 8. DAS wouldn't allow more than 6 to use. And Genie+ would have cost too much for all 4 park days when I already spent over $14,000 on this trip, much more than I have spent on ANY trip. I've neve been able to not get every attraction in, in a day. Was very upset we couldn't do some attractions because of the ridiculous wait times due to lightning lane. It's a rich person's paradise.

°I am officially priced out. It is neither financially possible or worth it to come back here again.

There was also several other small things that added up to this being a very okay/kinda bad trip. Luckily, I had planned for this to be my last trip for seeeeveral years. Sadly, it was one of my worst trips. If anything, this trip solidified the fact that I need to move on from this expensive dump heap.
I hope you let WDW know........

I didn't say yours was. I said mine was. You all are impossible. Argue argue argue. Who cares.
Sorry if misinterpreted your reply. The first words you wrote to my response was... This is a selfish answer... no reason for me to know you were directing it to Disney. And I often agree with the things you post, here and in other posts you write. So Im in your park most of the time. But if I see something I disagree with I will let you know with reasons, not just for the sake of arguing.

The ride photo errors seemed really excessive this year. In past years, we'd get one or two shots of random people, but this year, my gallery was full of randoms, like over 25%. And several missing photos. Whatever, that photopass is too darn expensive anyway.

For us, that whole Genie/Genie$/LL/LL$$$ thing was the straw that broke the camel's back. Along with having to roust my son every morning at 6:55 for him to book the darn things because the #@$% app doesn't work on my phone. We're now paying for a service that used to be included in the ticket price, and while the old FP system had its own annoyances, nothing screams "fun" like having to log in at 7 every morning and hope for the best. And then having to keep your eyes on your phone all day. Absolutely brilliant, Chapek.

2021 was the trip that ended it for me. We went back this year since my wife and kids insisted. The whole family is now done with the place.

Way too many negative developments across the parks and resorts. The only positive development I saw was that the monorails were all running smoothly when we were there. It's been over 10 years since that's happened. Maybe we just got lucky.

Hmmm...doesn't sound good.

We are going in December for the first time in 4 years; but also...for the very first time...splitting our trip time with Universal. We are going with lowered expectations, and we will see if we want to stay on Disney property again.

The way things are going with Disney, I could see in the future just staying at Universal and maybe visiting Disney as a day guest only. Would likely spend must days at Universal, Seaworld, and International Drive. Your experience helps prove that Disney is going to crap!

I am sorry you had a bad experience. We have had countless lately. write a formal letter on their website, filing a formal complaint.
Youre right, lack of upkeeping everywhere...those its a small world boats are filthy!!!
The resorts not making beds everyday is highway robbery already.
Try to report the lost item on their lost and found website ...theyre really good at itemizing everything and getting stuff back to you for the most part.
Yes disney is very expensive ... its very bad but everyone still keeps going...hence ceo prob rising prices again.
The not being able to get on all rides is very tough, very tough wo genie (money) with rides being down and no more free fast passes -again very expensive.
wow, the room thing that stinks! did you call management? .... but yeah no guarantee... and it can be hit or miss but usually theyre accommodating with keeping parties together - again write them let them know ...
Like a previous poster mentioned, i too hope if you do go back one day.. i hope its magical!!

This is one of those additional annoyances about the trip... Especially since my friend paid $200 for the photopass service. A couple of experiences I had with the photo services on this trip last week...

1). There are not really that many photographers walking around anymore. There are just a few stationed at popular spots.

2). The automatic picture things they added to Mickey and Princess Fairytale Hall, they both were not working, so we had to just get a CM to take a picture on our phones.

3). I have not gotten the on-ride picture of Dinosaur during my past 3 trips, so I made sure to go to the desk and scan our picture. Apparently, the lady in front of me left saying "Well, I never get the picture when I ride it" as the Cast Member mumbled "It takes up to 24 hours for you to receive the picture." Well... I went up right after her, asked for the ride picture, and then asked to scan my magicband. The CM said the same thing to me "You will automatically receive it within 24 hours." To which I said "I haven't received it on my past 3 trips. I would like to scan it." She let me scan it, since I was persistent. Then repeated "It takes up to 24 hours--" and I cut them off saying again "I have never gotten my picture on this ride. I just wanted to scan it to make sure. Thank you!"

And, as you mentioned, 4). Got a bunch of random pictures from Buzz Lightyear and a couple of other attractions. (I got 6 random families from Buzz)

On ANOTHER side note... I just checked MDE for the heck of it, and found some random lady's name with a 1-park per day ticket for the next four days.... What the heeeeck??? I cancelled all of them. I hope they didn't somehow get my friend's lost magicband!!

I did not, because, as I mentioned, this was really just a minor inconvenience. Honestly, everything was a minor inconvenience balled up into a giant ball of a big inconveniences. That is the main issue I had on this trip. Everything piling on top of each other.

I appreciate the response.

I still don't see why Disney should replace the Magicband? It being their coaster makes no difference - I don't imagine they replace everything lost by guests on their property.

It's also not a case of the park ticket being lost. Just set up the ticket on a smartphone using the Disney App and MagicMobile.
Are guests allowed to walk the coaster to retrieve their magic band? This is Disney’s problem to fix.

I TOTALLY get what you’re saying. I’ve been getting closer and closer to throwing in the towel myself. I keep waiting to see exactly what the final straw will be for me. I know last time I went I was completely frustrated by the prices of the food and souvenirs. It’s coming, I know it is. Another thing I know for sure is that Chapek and the execs could care less. 🤷🏼‍♀️ That in itself is another factor.

I know there are those out there who are thinking “too bad, so sad, don’t let the door hit you on the way out” and that’s fine. I just think it’s sad for the average consumer to be considered, or rather not considered, with all the costly decisions being made. Will they eventually regret it? I don’t know. Time will tell.

I almost expect to see the parks in disarray when I go in Nov. I just don’t know how it’s going to be. Not sure if I’ll get a small taste next month when I go on a trip solely to Disney Springs. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Reading reports like this does temper my excitement over my upcoming trip though. 😬

This is where I stand. I can understand where it sounds ridiculous to expect this sort of thing... But Disney does not have lockers for hardly any of their attractions when it comes to loose items, and they make the design seem like you can't lose the band on their attractions.

I took my gf in 2021 for 12 days. It was a wonderful trip.

Then, FP and ME were cut. Genie+ was new. And we went for 6 days in 2022.

What a disaster. I didn’t know you had to get up at 6:55 to get reservations. We both aren’t morning people. We got up and out at 8am in 2021.

The rides we were able to get were down. And we couldn’t get another ride. When we could get a ride, it conflicted with our ADRs. Or, was very late at night.

I figure I spent over $500/day to ride ONE ride and go to ONE TS restaurant.

Plus the poor maintenance, cramped room (we both use an ECV), generally dirty atmosphere was enough for me. I’ve gone twice a year for a long time. It will be a long time before I return.

Next year I’m going to a Sandals resort on St. Lucia. Even paying for a helicopter from the airport to the resort. And it will be cheaper than Disney.

Tell WDW......if enough people do, then when their bottom line drops they will have customer data to back it up.
If we want changes we need to speak up.
No comment= no change for sure.

Disney souvenirs are the worst. The last good thing I got was the Epcot 30th anniversary hoodie (little oversized but for some reason I didn't try it on). I remember my last souvenir was a keychain that broke a few weeks later (had a little screw holding it together) And now everything looks like Disney threw up over everything.

Who knew 10 years years later Epcot would be even worse off than it was. And that's when all the construction gets done.

Side note -- 3 out of 8 of us have COVID now.

That's not Disney's fault and we knew the risk. But MAN... does it not help where I'm at right now. Lol. Luckily it's not me. But my wife, aunt, and brother-in-law have tested positive.
I got my first case of Covid from WDW this March.

I figured there was an almost 100% I would catch it, and I did. :p

In fact, half of my party caught it.

I think dumping $10,000 on a vacation is a pretty good definition on entitled entitlement. Your expectations were reasonable considering the cost.

Expecting to get what you pay for is a weird thing to feel bad about. Don't be critical of your feelings on this one, all justified.

Kinda why I have been avoiding the parks for ages. The trip in March I only went because it was a team event and I was invited. ...and it included Starcruiser. :p
