@Jrb1979 , I’m not implying that nothing should happen. I’m totally ok with escorting someone out of the park for the day. I’m with you on that. I’m just saying a Lifetime Ban may not fit the offense for a first time “line jumper”.Sorry but most other parks take it seriously. They may not ban you but they may kick you out for the day. I was just at Cedar Point and they have a number to text for line jumpers.
This isn’t true. CMs do allow guests to leave the line and return to their respective parties. You leave the line then you are no longer in line. When you return you are line jumping. There is no place holding in the lines because you and I both know that if place holding is acceptable you'll have everyone place holding regular people into 4 hour wait times.
I wish they didn't. It would be one thing to help avoid situations like this fight. This isn’t true. CMs do allow guests to leave the line and return to their respective parties.
Let’s say someone has the sudden urge to use the bathroom and they have to leave the line. What sense would it make to bar them from returning and joining their family?I wish they didn't. It would be one thing to help avoid situations like this fight.
This may come off rude but after visiting parks over the last weekend the majority of GP that go to parks aren't the brightest. Seatbelt first lapbar second is a hard concept for many.
I wish all parks has a number and signs posted for thisSorry but most other parks take it seriously. They may not ban you but they may kick you out for the day. I was just at Cedar Point and they have a number to text for line jumpers.
A daytime ban would certainly be effective.@Jrb1979 , I’m not implying that nothing should happen. I’m totally ok with escorting someone out of the park for the day. I’m with you on that. I’m just saying a Lifetime Ban may not fit the offense for a first time “line jumper”.
Well, that would just open a new market for this shirt:If they only kick them from the park then you haven't sent a message that would cause others to avoid doing the same thing. There is a risk reward trade-off in the minds of people and the ones that jump lines need to see a risk significant enough that it actually registers. If I'm at Disney on a trip and its the last day of the trip why wouldn't I just jump lines when I thought I could likely get away with it and the punishment would be ending my day early... even if the punishment was a 1 year ban if I'm only going once in a while a year ban also means little in terms of consequence. But a life time ban would hit most everyone and would also register with people as a significant cost of doing the bad thing.
Banned for life. Pretty simple now isn't it. A park can't hit people with a fine like the government can when you do something wrong so they are limited to banning or kicking from a park. Kicking out doesn't work. Banning would and at the very least would eliminate that person from ever jumping in line or bringing in a weapon. I can see no reason not to embrace such a thing unless you are one of those folks that like to jump lines like a Brazilian kid on a school trip.Your argument makes no sense. Your hardline stance with something as simple as line jumping is mind boggling. Should there be consequences for that? Yes. Banned for life? So using your “logic” what should be the penalty for let’s say brining a weapon into the parks.
CMs are notorious for ignoring the rules, that's the problem. Seeing a CM help a guest break the rules doesn't surprise me in the least. This isn’t true. CMs do allow guests to leave the line and return to their respective parties.
The rule is that if someone needs to leave the line, the CM is to help them out of the line and reunite them with their family in the line, should they choose to stay in the line.CMs are notorious for ignoring the rules, that's the problem. Yeah, they choose to give their money to a manufactured, fleeting sensation that in most cases they have experienced many times before. Same over and over again but they keep throwing money and time at them. People going to parks are just the dumbest. This may come off rude but after visiting parks over the last weekend the majority of GP that go to parks aren't the brightest. Those line mules are the worst, almost as bad as the line donkeysIt seems like most people are against line mules. Where one person dashes into the queue first, allowing the remaining party to join later at leisure. I have experienced both, where a person rejoining a line doesn't even get my attention, where a mule rushes in front of me, only to have several people follow after.
I'm not saying people are dumb for going. It's more how they act when in the parks. I'm amazed at the amount of people that act like it's their first time in an amusement/theme park.Yeah, they choose to give their money to a manufactured, fleeting sensation that in most cases they have experienced many times before. Did you enjoy your trip to the parks?
What if it actually is their first time in an amusement/theme park?I'm not saying people are dumb for going. It's more how they act when in the parks. I'm amazed at the amount of people that act like it's their first time in an amusement/theme park.
There probably is a few that fall into that category. What if it actually is their first time in an amusement/theme park?
More than you would believe, I bet. There probably is a few that fall into that category.
It’s absurd you even have to pose it as a hypothetical, as if we haven’t all found ourselves unexpectedly in need of the toilet at some point in our lives! I find it absolutely bizarre that anyone could take such a hardline stance over something as relatable and universal as needing to answer the call of nature.Let’s say someone has the sudden urge to use the bathroom and they have to leave the line. What sense would it make to bar them from returning and joining their family.
