Another Disney "princess" movie....

What about the Pirate version of the BBB? Is it still around? Was it popular? What would be the alternative? See boys walking around in Pirate garb, I saw a few Buzz and Woodys on my last trip. I see them playing with the Cars versions of Hot Wheels, they still wear Stitch hats.
.
The Pirate version of BBB is still there and is almost completely overlooked by guests.

To the OP, why would Disney stop marketing things that actually make money?

They shouldn't, but they should consider a little balance.

Tossing out a "boys" movie once in a while that they don't hype at all or even attempt to support in the parks doesn't count.

We've been over this before and people here just can't admit it. But for boys Universal has more to offer at this point.

They are tossing out "boy" movies soon, as has been previously pointed out, just as they have "boy" M&Gs, merchandise, and they promote "boy" films in the parks (such as the TRON monorail).

And if this has been gone over before, why bring it up again? Were you expecting a different answer? Or just looking to stir the proverbial pot?

So, Toy Story 3, Tron, Cars 2, Pirates...whatever number this is...none of these have any interest for boys? And they aren't hyped nor promoted in the parks?

Riiiight.

TRON and Pirates would be the only of those I would really consider to be heavily marketed toward boys.

And a sticker on a monorail isn't exactly offering much.

CARS isn't heavily marketed towards boys? The droves of apparel for little boys featuring Cars characters, the extensive merchandise that very few little girls would ever be interested in. C'mon now.

Cars merch (yes for BOYS) has been a mainstay in nearly every Disney Store since the original film was released.

Your attempts to make this a personal issue continue to fail.

Let's try to keep this about the topic at hand, not emotional outbursts.

The only topic at hand is the fact you don't want to accept there's more than ample movies, rides, merchandise, whatever, for "boys" both in the present and future of Disney, regardless of what others and myself have described. As you yourself said, this issue has been gone over before, but apparently not to your liking, because your'e trying to bring up the topic again as something divisive, only the thread didn't go as you wanted. So you've chosen to ignore what people write and use your own subjective line of reason to continue on. Good luck with that.....

You're letting your emotions trump reason again I'm afraid.

What was mentioned in the previous post was the opinion that Universal had more for boys, not the Disney princessfest. The Universal discussion has been covered before, not this topic.

Thanks for your thoughts on the matter.

So I guess we're ignoring that Cars is marketed heavily towards boys and has been for years? (in addition to several other "boy" properties) Alrighty then.

Actually what's prety funny is that you're the only one bringing up Universal. Your OP didn't mention it, and no one else has in this thread either. But since your trolling for "Princess hatred" in Disney movies didn't work out, you've since turned to merchandise, rides, M&Gs, and now the fact that Universal is far superior for boys. How about coming back to the original subject at hand?

What sort of presence does Cars have in the parks when compared to the "princess" franchises?

Rides, meet & greets, characters, merch, etc...?

Again, personal attacks only undermine any attempt you might make at actually contributing here.

I won't bother to respond until you can control your histrionics.

Sort of like your ignoring your own original post, eh?

Oh, and there's a little thing being built called CarsLand. Not sure you've heard of it, but it's going to add a mild presence into the park when all is said and done....

Pretty sure an entire Cars LAND is being built in California. Merch in stores across property including the new Ridemakerz brand, meet and greet with McQueen and Mater, McQueen rumored to be joining the DHS stunt show.

Why start an argument if you don't even have the basic facts to keep it going?

Half the things on your list are twenty years old or more and have nothing to do with the CURRENT theme of heavily marketing all things "princess" in the parks.

Well if we are not going back more then 20 years... you must remove Snow white, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little mermaid and Beauty and the Beast from your list of irritating princess movies.

Don't look over your shoulder.... Aladdin is soon to expire. :p

That's a great start.

I know California needed that addition, but don't you honestly think Florida could use something similar?

What's that I hear? It's the sound of a hole being popped in the OP's argument.
