Did you watch the sequel? Where they went into a porcelain bowl within the banks home? Sounds like the possibility for something like that. Again no concrete details but given the wording of the parks blog which called the Moana walk through an experience and this an ATTRACTION something tells me it's not a simple walk through.Sounded like a walk-through attraction to me :/
So you honestly think Disney doesn’t think it underperformed? No it isn't -- you're falling into the trap I already mentioned. Only a few movies bring in those massive numbers. You're looking at Marvel movies and thinking every movie that releases is supposed to make that kind of money when 99% of them don't even come close. Mary Poppins Returns was never going to be that kind of movie. The vast majority of movies would KILL to get $350 million in box office returns. Honestly, if you think otherwise you shouldn't even be commenting about this because you don't understand anything about the movie industry.
It wasn't an overwhelming, massive success, and it certainly didn't do as well as the original Mary Poppins. But it did reasonably well and wasn't anywhere close to being a flop on Solo's level.
Well when I heard the word attraction, my instinct was that if it was a ride, they would’ve been shouting it from the rooftops.Did you watch the sequel? Since it was lined up for a series of movies and they pre-promoted it with “Oscar bluster”??
But whoever in the studios screens movies with the execs before release...has really gotta get their cataracts removed.
So far as I last heard no “ride” as in dark ride. Hope I’m wrong.Perhaps an insider has more information about the newer plans for this attraction. @marni1971?

Reading these boards makes D23 a bit of a downer. How long has poppins in Epcot been discussed here? We learned nothing.
I think that's supposed to be Big Ben in the background, to give the impression that it actually is in England. Here's an image to compare with the concept art to see where the new buildings will be.If the concept art is accurate, looks like morroco in the back. Maybe they’re putting the facade across the front of the gazebo with the attraction behind.
The original is classic. That’s all you need.
Snow White II? Unnecessary.
Unless they pull a Star Wars and completely ignore the original, and base it on “Returns” (which I enjoyed, btw.)
the original rumor was a partially indoor carousel system of some kind.....
This board makes it a downer for me because all these otherwise exciting announcements/confirmations are met with cynicism, skepticism, criticism, and supercalifraggingpessimism.
“The magic is gone” alright - from here, I’m afraid.
You’re right...2 years won’t cut it for more.I think we are looking at some type of spinner and/or carousel indoor ride with lots of special effects. I just don’t see Disney building a new street a full dark ride in 2 years.
Wait, so this one goes to Jim Hill then?So much for the insider information of a carousel
Did they mention when we could expect to see this open? I was trying to follow numerous threads on twitter, thought I might have missed that info.
A carousel INSIDE of 10 Cherry Tree Lane? Nope.
