Anna and Elsa - Just Plain Ridiculous.

Not that it needs much help, but with switching Anna and Elsa to the MK, wouldn't adding them to the princess meal at Akershus be in the cards?

That would be awesome. While I can hope for this, it seems like Disney wants them to be together for all their appearances. A character meal would require both characters to interact together at each table.

Seems awkward. Have characters ever done this before?

Chip and Dale go around separately at both Garden Grill in Epcot and Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland. That would be similar to Anna and Elsa.

More likely they would get rid of Belle and have them host.

And even in character dining, there's a chance for team-ups, if it's either slow or the character in question is on a roll and wants to bring in a partner for more shenanigans.

Not that it needs much help, but with switching Anna and Elsa to the MK, wouldn't adding them to the princess meal at Akershus be in the cards? I think that tends to be the "easy" princess meal to get compared to the Castle, but a guaranteed opportunity to meet the Frozen girls would probably terribly increase demand there and would not clog up Norway (well any worse than it already is) the way the current M&G does.
I can't believe I never though of that! I'm a big supporter of adding them at Akershus!

It's all a matter of personal priorities. Would I wait that long for them- no. Have I let my kids wait even close to that long for any character - no. Still, it's a must for some people. I also remember extremely long waits when Rapunzel and Merida were "new." I think we were told something like a 3.5 hr wait to see Rapunzel and about 2.5 hrs to meet Merida (different trips- each were when they were the newest princess). We walked away and just told the girls to wave :) So, the Anna and Elsa waits really aren't that far off from any of that, but it just seems to be getting a lot more attention.

I hear you! When I went in 2011, we were there in February and I waited an hour for Rapunzel on one day, and three another. The newest ladies get crazy long lines.

It is crazy. And what amazes me is that the children are willing to stand in line. I find it hard to believe that little kids are actually being patient while waiting

Anyone can grumble about the wait times, but if the M&Gs are hugely popular, isn't that good for the company? The popularity of a M&G largely reflects the relative popularity of a movie or franchise. If they didn't have a M&G then another group of people would be yelling that there is no M&G. They can't win. Its like complaining about sitting in traffic - you're part of the problem!

Having said that, it sure would be great for them to increase the capacity of the more visited M&Gs. I imagine they use the M&Gs as a prognosticating device for creating additional content, like rides or shows. Hopefully this will ring true for Frozen.

as for M&Gs in general i feel like either you're a M&G guest or not. On our trip, my 3 year old didn't care for the rides, she went on all them but her true highlights were meeting the characters. we went in September & she still talks about how alice made the flowers sing & who she hugged and who tickled her. the M&Gs were her special magic Disney moments. We waited patiently for each meet; used fp+ for the princesses and sat through four mediocre character buffets - ALL totally worth it.

As for Anna and Elsa - who she is currently OBSESSED WITH - you bet your bottom dollar we would wait for that magical hug !!!!

They aren't. Disney has set up the line in Norway where they are asking one adult to wait for their group, then have their group rejoin them before they enter the building. Since the line is mostly outdoors the kids don't have to wait long.

PFTH is a different set up, families will have to wait the whole time together. So it should be interesting to see how two M&G rooms plus FP+ makes a difference in the lines.

I see what you mean. We had reservations at Akershus and a mother and her son and daughter were at the table next to us. The mother asked us to watch her son while she and her daughter left to go switch places in line with their grandmother. The grandmother came a few minutes later and the mother and daughter came back about 45 minutes later after seeing them.

Which is why, at EPCOT at least, they allow one person to wait in line and have the rest of the party rejoin them

It is funny because I bet it increases a false sense of hope. You think the line is not that bad, until you get in it, and then there are multiple large groups that jump in front of you right before your turn.
