I was surprised on how well the movie did. we saw it the night before is came out. not a midnight show. ours was at 8-9. only eight of us in the whole theater. didn't think it'll be this popular.

At least when you wait 3 to 4 hours for them you actually know who you are meeting. Unlike at Unleash the Villains it was mass chaos and you had no idea who you were meeting.

If you plan accordingly there are ways to avoid waiting in that long of a line or using FP. I would get there early.
So darn true! I could have been first in line if I knew where Oogie Boogie would be, darn it. I even have a picture of my self standing in front of the empty M&G. If only they could do that event again, but have it more organized... Everyone's wishes.

On the bright side, if Elsa and Anna's popularity continues, maybe TDO will consider expanding New Fantasyland even further, and give us a "Frozen" area. (Right AFTER they give us a Villains area, dammit. And Cherry Tree Lane!)

They can give us a villains section after they give us a villains character meal. I need a villains after dark dessert party - now!

I think lines would be even longer if Olaf was part of it. It shows how bad Disney is at preparing these things-they thought they'd be out of Norway by now, but its turned into the longest wait in the park. I bet it's shocked them how well this has done-and helps to recoup the costs of MyMagic+

Olaf in the Animation building in DHS would make a lot of sense to me. Probably wouldn't help with the demand for Anna + Elsa, but would be a nice addition for that park.

What Disney should do is create a Elsa and Anna character dining experience. Serve snow cones, ice cream, and carrot sticks and get $30 a person for it.

Not that it needs much help, but with switching Anna and Elsa to the MK, wouldn't adding them to the princess meal at Akershus be in the cards? I think that tends to be the "easy" princess meal to get compared to the Castle, but a guaranteed opportunity to meet the Frozen girls would probably terribly increase demand there and would not clog up Norway (well any worse than it already is) the way the current M&G does.

Would anyone else rather meet Mulan in the next country over, rather than wait in line for Anna and Elsa?
We did the first week on Nov. My kids hadn't seen the movie yet. We went to get in line and were told hour and 30 minutes by the CM. Now I'm kinda wishing we would have waited. But we decided to go see Mulan instead - 20 minute wait. She was lovely and my DD had a great time chatting with her.

I wish they would have completely different princesses at each meal. With Anna and Elsa they will be up to 13! If they put Belle at BOG with the Beast they have 6 princesses each for CRT and Akershus. Different princesses at each meal - you know some families are going to double or triple up on those expensive character meals. We've never been to Akershus because we can see all the same princesses at CRT minus Belle who you can easily see at ETWB nearby.

Posted before but my idea for a icy/cold/winter themed "Frozen" area in MK would be to expand in the undeveloped northern area between the railroad berm and Magic Kingdom Drive. You'd have to build a walkway that goes over Magic Kingdom Dr to access the area -- this overpass can be themed to go from "spring/summer" at the beginning with lush vegetation to icy "winter" as you enter the sub-land.

One attraction would be a large Matterhorn ride that would be able to be seen from the distance and would be a "weenie" for the sub-land. My thought is to build the ride partially over the railroad such that passing trains get a glimpse into the ride much like they do with Splash Mountain. That would requiring shutting down the railroad to do on the north side and would also allow for adding either (or both of) a new train stop to service this sub-land or a diorama to the train like they have in DLR.

Another attraction would obviously be a Frozen ride, hopefully of grand scale, but even a smaller FL style dark ride would be nice. Obviously, there would be a M&G for Anna and Else (and Olaf?) in the area. And some food -- gotta have a frozen treats counter. If they wanted to do a third, smaller ride, I think a modest dark ride or flat ride themed to Pablo the Penguin would be a good use of existing IP that would be something totally new to most guests.
