I see they have listed Everest and Kali as nighttime offerings. Does anyone know if they have made any lighting adjustments to these attractions for the evening hours or were they already prepared with night lighting in mind when built? @marni1971

I am just so curious to see the sunset effect on the safari. I'm not sure how it won't just look like a set of lights off in the distance.

Im curious how much of the ride path didn't get ANY lighting and will be in the dark? There are quite a few points on the ride where you are transitioning from one area to another without any animals to see. Hopefully they have put some small lights all around the ride path and not just at the animal encounters.

Everest at night is a truly magical experience. There's some lighting, but the best part is how far you can see as you go up the mountain.

I've ridden both at night. Lighting - albeit "atmospheric" - was installed as part of the original construction of both.

I feel like I remember the park actually being open 8 am to 8 pm daily in its first year--after dark in the winter. This 9-5 rubbish that we've been dealing with for a decade came later. If it's "Nahtazu," why does it have the hours of a zoo?!

Its first summer saw the park open 7am to 8pm.

And it cost less to get in.

Quite the solid lineup :) very pleased.

Now all Animal Kingdom needs is to give every existing ride a decent refurb and some plussing, give Dinoland an overhaul and build another new land (after Avatar) full of decent quality rides and Animal Kingdom will definitely become a great park.

It's very unfortunate that they continue to have 9 am openings in the summer. It's already hot by then and you miss peak activity from the animals. I remember in days of yore riding the safari at about 7:15 am and being amazed at how active the animals were. By 10 am in the summer, they are all passed out and/or hiding in the shade.

Both rides were also open during the Expedition Everest after-parties until 2AM. They are both ready to go.
Everest at night is amazing... Kali at night is still too short.

I always thought Tomorrowland benefitted the most at night. What with all the neon lights.

But lately I've come to realise it is in fact Adventureland that gains the most in atmosphere (or would, were it not for that theme destroying carpets monstrosity). Can't wait to see DAK after dark!

Tomorrowland needs to drop the neon look and go to a "darker" realistic look.
