Secret Life of Pets. Very strong rumor that's it's coming to Hollywood then Orlando. Also it's a trackless dark ride with lots of AAs.

It's funny because I think Uni is being kinda dumb there because I'm not expecting much from the movie. I get the idea of being confident in your films but it seems like an odd choice to invest the money in to build a ride before knowing it will be successful.

I like the idea of Zootopia being a bit of a "Toontown"-type area for AK. Have it secluded in the back separate from the other lands and maybe have AAs of animals all over the place (sort of like what SWL is supposed to have) and it could make for a very good mini-land. I'd like to see it, however I'd rather see South America/Australia/Beastly Kingdom 2.0 first.

It's a movie about cute pets that's likely to get Minions-level viral marketing. There's a very low chance that this won't be successful.

I love DisneySea, and DAK is a neat park...but DAK is no DisneySea.

Even after the changes coming to DAK, and with the incredible level of theming that DAK has and will have, DisneySea is still a much more engaging park.

In my opinion, anyway. I for one can't wait for my next trip to Tokyo so I can do DisneySea again. I've never get that way about DAK...

I noticed Dinosaur was not on the attractions list for night. Anyone know why?
Goes without saying. I mean, it's a dark ride. No real difference between day and night. Same with Kali or Everest. There's no animal limitation that's kept them from being able to run at night. Kilimanjaro expanding beyond just daytime hours is significant.

Then the theming works. Everything except dinosaur is a dig site and a roadside carnival. Dinosaur is the only permanent building.
Yeah, the real thematic issue is the decision to depict the Dinosaur Roadside Attraction as a carnival because you never actually see stuff like that. The real counterparts to that whole roadside dinosaur attraction idiom Dino-Rama is meant to convey are decidedly more low-budget/tech. Like a walkthrough Jungle Cruise with dinosaur statues of varying realism, style and aesthetics. The Dino Institute area has some sculpture gardens, but they're more scientifically accurate (or at least to 90s-era paleoart) and bear a resemblance to the one adjoining the Utah Field House Museum in Vernal (gateway to the Boneyard's real-world equivalent of Dinosaur National Monument)

Tear out the carnival, make some wonky old fashioned dinosaur figures (maybe even buy and refurbish a few vintage ones from some of the extinct roadside attractions across the country), give it a Jungle Cruise-esque narration and put a little train through like Heimlich's Chew-Chew and you got a fun little family ride that does a little more justice to the concept and isn't as much of a eyesore.

And then it would be derided as the cheapest piece of crap ever made by Disney. People don't go to Disney to see a recreation of the cheap attractions they know at home. I know what you're getting at but it just wouldn't work.

A green setting with endearingly wonky depictions of dinosaurs would still be an improvement over the ugly carnival with schizophrenic art direction (Disney-esque dino statues don't match Chester and Hester's cartoon drawings on the plywood dinos) and its faux-Asphalt parking lot setting.

Blasphemous I say to thee!!!!!!

Disney needs to Follow suit of Universal, (imagine that), and Green Light a Zootopia dark ride pronto!! Still very surprised Uni is building a SLoP attraction before even knowing if it will be a hit of not.

He he Slop....
Uni is not building SLoP, at least not yet. The proposed spot the rumors say it's going into has yet to be touched in the slightest.

I've been to DisneySea as well and while not on the same level it is most certainly the best thing we have in America. None of the other parks have the same detail and immersion and places like Africa and Asia are almost flawless in their execution.

Because it is no different at night. Neither is FotLK nor "it's tough to be a bug!" but they'll be open later.
That makes sense, Thanks!
