So...are ther enhancemnts being added to Everest and Kali as well?

Anyone?
Not sure that either will need much enhancing, as we have ridden both after dark before. I think that it was posted earlier that Kali might be getting a few tweaks, but it could just be regular maintenance.

Saw this bit posted on Orlando Parks News about Kilimanjaro Safaris after dark:

"Will Guests be able to take photos on the safaris?

Once the safaris transition into the nighttime portion, Guests will be asked to refrain from using flash photography for the safety and comfort of other Guests."

What are the odds most tourists will follow this rule?

What are the odds that the drivers will be allowed to call guests out on it in order to discourage it? I'd say pretty good.

That assumes two things:

a) drivers will say something
b) passengers will listen or care

Guests have a hard enough time understanding the idea against taking flash photos inside controlled lighting enviroments. A night time, outdoor experience? That's going to be a serious learning curve for some.

Embarrassment is a powerful thing, at least for visitors from stateside. Plus, I'd imagine bright flashing lights wouldn't be great for the animals' well-being, either, so the drivers should say something. I have hope here.

yes, but on most rides, there isn't a CM in the vehicle with them to warn them about taking flash photos....and if they continue, then throw them into those lion enclosures so they can really get a great photo.

Because of the animals I think the CM's driving will try to very strictly enforce this rule. They can actually stop the car and wait/call out the guest if they are using flash and will not stop. I think they will also frequently remind people. Accidents will happen (happens on my phone more often than I would like) but I think it would be similar to them stopping because of a guest standing up with the potential response it could produce from an animal.

Animal Kingdom is really shaping up to be a fantastic park. God bless Joe Rohde and his earrings.

I see they have listed Everest and Kali as nighttime offerings. Does anyone know if they have made any lighting adjustments to these attractions for the evening hours or were they already prepared with night lighting in mind when built? @marni1971
yes, they are now using LED flashers for the Yeti so he looks even more real at night :(
