Woo hoo. Still not excited about this at all.

Although I must say, the BGM on the site, while repetative, is kind of snappy. Now its stuck in my head.

^ ^ ^ ^ The music sounds like (You Can Still) Rock in America by Night Ranger. Now I have it stuck in my head. Thanks! :brick:

I couldn't possibly imagine a more annoying attraction addition to a Disney park. Oh no wait..."Mr Rodgers Neighborhood Show". That would be even worse. But AI comes very close. Very Disney-style indeed.

I certainly will check it out but I am not planning my vacation around it. I would plan my vacation around trying to see Fantasmic though.

Does anyone else think this is going to be a hideous trainwreck???? I'm sorry - but this is going to be like being in a bad Karaoke bar, without the benefit of alcohol. I for one will avoid this attraction at all costs!

Yes, this could be "a hideous trainwreck".
If people fight about being next in line at the tea cups in MK (where alcohol is not allowed), can you imagine the fights when "Daddy's Little Star" dosen't make the cut at AIE (in a park that sells alcohol).
I hope they have good security at this attraction.

why do so many of you think this is a fatal attraction? i do not watch the television program (don't watch that much tv), though i understand it is highly popular. and, like "who wants to be a millionaire," i think there will be crowds for this. the process is interesting...an all-day affair for some who continue. it is the studios after all. so, why the responses to it so negative? i'm curious.

Do I think it is the end of the DHS and Disney? Nah. Do I think it will be successful? Yes.

At the end of the day, the concept for this attraction dosen't appeal to me at all. I might watch it once...if that.

If you've ever seen the regional auditions then you would know how crazy people get when they don't make the cut. Sometimes security is called.

Are they really going to be able to find enough people that can sing well enough for a big finale show EVERY day? I don't think so. AI attracts a lot of crazy people who just want their 15 seconds of fame as well as crazy people who actually think they can sing, but really REALLY can't. I don't watch the TV show because of I feel embarssed for these people. How crappy would it be to watch someone trying their best, but singing off key on a big jumbo tron in the middle of the park. Why would I want to see that while I'm at Disney?

Why would you want to see that? For the same reason they show the regional auditions on TV...everyone likes to watch a train wreck. It is human curiosity. Yes I'm sure there are those who go on the show looking for their 15 seconds, just like we will see when AI opens, those park goers looking for their 15 seconds, but luckily Fox is not running AI into the ground like ABC did with Who Wants to be a Millionaire. So maybe this attraction will have some longevity. It is at least nice to have something go into that theater since its been vacant for quite a few years now.

Next we need to get rid of Drew Carrey...

Because 99% of people don't like change. If it was up to everyone on this board, Epcot would still have the same old boring rides of the past, DHS would still be MGM with it's boring shows. It comes down to not being able or willing to accept change and give something a chance.
