All Tomorrowland, All the time (Has Disney given up on the TTA?)

Great point MysticOrient about the Wedway technology being updated (Perhaps even with a GPS technology like the one used in TokyoSea Pooh's ride). I would love it if the TTA was made into a full-fledged transportation method throughout all the disney parks, but I understand the budget concerns.:)

See I do not think it will be that simple. In all honesty unless you plan on skipping the huge technological advances in the 80's-90's, removing the first scene, or making the last scene a real time reflection of today then I think the attraction needs an additional scene. Then you also face the problem that in less than 10 years that last scene is way out of date again. Don't get me wrong I love CoP but Disney does not seem interested in putting the time and money into the attraction that it needs to keep it up to date and working. Right now the AA's at RFC are more realistic than what is currently in CoP. I would almost rather see it go away then continue in its current "held together with duct tape and zip ties" shape.

Although it'd be nice to see an added scene, I don't think it would be terribly hard to update COP. I don't see why you couldn't leave the current end scene the way it is (call it the 80's/90's). The current closing scene should be refurbished. Rather than seeing the COP sign with the 80's music blasting, the curtains should be completly opened revealing Walt's original EPCOT model. A few words would be said about how this was Walt's vision of the future and if we work hard enough, this future could become realitiy one day, blah, blah, blah... Then the host would thank you for riding CoP and we hope to see you again.

Will that ever happen, probably not. But all they really need to do to update CoP is add some brand new Animatronics, and the EPCOT model, and they'd be set.

Holding attractions together by duct tape seems to be a problem with several attractions, be it TTA, COP, SSE, the list goes on and on. It really is a shame to see attractions fall apart like this...

And we all know how that turned out...

Rocket Rods, though flawed due to a lack of proper budget, contained a higher degree of awesome than the TTA ever has or will. (IMHO)
(No, I'm not saying replace TTA with the Rods. Wouldn't work on that shorter and less interesting track.)

On the plus side for TTA, the narrator calls it the PeopleMover!
That's a plus? Not to me.

Also:
Haven't listened to the TTA audio. Saving it to hear in person, but I am severely dismayed by the continued "cartoonification" of TL.
I seriously dislike every attraction there other than SM (a love/hate thing), TTA and CoP (which I have no real feeling for one way or the other).
I would much rather have seen a smaller FL expansion and give the rest of that money to TL, to get it back on track and bring it up to the level it was 10-15 years ago.

And to think, when I was told months and months ago that TL would finally be getting a cohesive, unifying theme...I assumed that New Tomorrowland would finally be complete. Looks more like they are throwing it out in favor of Toonmorrowland.

That seems to be exactly what has happened.

Agreed. We seriously need another major overhaul to get rid of SGE, MILF, and the TIS.

So you want a park that just serves what you want as opposed to ... kids maybe?

What other attractions serve the boys 3-9 demographic?

Everyone little boy wants to drive the car, so TIS cant be touched. Lines are always long there.

SGE? While personally i hate it, 5 year olds like the 5 year old mentality.

MILF? Its not that bad, really. But once again, it caters to the younger set.

These parks need something for EVERYONE, not just YOU and what YOU and the other fanbois want.

They have BLRS, SM, and Astro Orbiter. (not too mention every other ride in the Magic Kingdom)

There should be something in the MK that appeals to the older crowd.

that is the problem.
WDI needs to stop focusing on a demographic of age and
start conceptualizing attractions the appeal to EVERY age. (walt's original idea)
its as if the parents feel obligated to ride the attractions as opposed as enjoying them and making memories with their children.

There's plenty for the older set. Simply because its not your cup of tea means you can go up I-4 a few exits....

Exactly. That is why Epcot is far superior when it comes to family rides.

Such an attraction does not exist. You can not make an attraction, or anything else for that matter, that appeals to everyone equally.

I agree.
Epcot taught lessons to adults and children alike.
Epcot is a healthy enviroment full of history and information for all families to enjoy.
Everyone who goes to Epcot will take home something from it.
It's sad though that Epcot succumbed to thrilling rather than learning with mission and test track.

I know but back in the days they tried hard as possible for every family to enjoy.
I was talking more of a mind set than reality.
I know it's not possible but you can strive.

No, but at least most people. Almost every different age demographic (young to old) enjoys Splash and Space Mountain. Those are the type of rides that Disney should start doing again.

Well, to be fair, they have managed to incorporate learning with those thrills and that is a very hard thing to do. Disney should really pat themselves on the back for Epcot, and use it as an example to re-shape the Magic Kingdom.

I always thought of tomorrowland (94 version) as sort of a land that appeals to older kids a bit more. You'd have AE (not for kids at all), SM (older kids), Timekeeper (not anti-kid but appeals to adults a bit more), CoP (see timekeeper), Astro Orbiter (a higher altitude dumbo). And I personally think it should fulfill that obligation but its obviously not doing that now.
