With Mickey's not so scary halloween party being cancelled today, there is nooo way universal can hold horror nights this year.
I don't see how they can do it.They shouldn't...but I think they will have the event.
They already strated building the mazes so it looks like it is on.With Mickey's not so scary halloween party being cancelled today, there is nooo way universal can hold horror nights this year.
Completely different events. Universal's is the most likely to be cancelled due to a focus on people in confined mazes being touched by employees.
Universal's is more easy to fix than Knotts, because of their reliance on the "boo box" scare
That's absolutely heart breaking. I'm happy my parks are UOR.With some of the recent throwback photos being posted, here are the remains of Hollywood’s Botanicus animatronic

This photo is from 2006, so no idea if it’s still sitting backstage, but it’s absolutely terrifying
The whole ride isn’t being maintained well at all. Quite recently, one of the baby E.T.’s arms snapped in half...The Botanicuses in Florida aren't in exactly great shape. Not skinned and left out in the backyard bad, but they barely move anymore.
Universal has the rights to Pokémon. Orlando was slated to get the Mario and Donkey Kong land at Epic Universe, Legend of Zelda at Islands of Adventure and Pokémon at Universal Studios Florida. If Universal was smart they'd realize that Nintendo is the one IP that could put them truly toe-to-toe with Disney (yes, even more than Potter.) I would've invested in an entire park dedicated to Nintendo. Mario as the main attraction, Donkey Kong for coasters, Legend of Zelda for a high quality dark ride, Metroid for a 3D shooter, Star Fox for screen based simulator rides, Animal Crossing is a goldmine for merch, etc. Each Nintendo property is filled with so much creative characters and worlds that the attractions pretty much write themselves.
If they could somehow work out a deal with GameFreak to have some Pokemon representation (maybe even just a Pokemon Center filled with Pokemon merchandise and some animatronics scattered around) and now you have the highest grossing media franchise in history (Pokemon brings in more money than Star Wars, Mickey Mouse, Mario, Disney Princesses, Marvel, Harry Potter, etc.) to support your park.

Nintendo always seems to under produce popular systems. They march to their own drummer.Let's hope they get some Switches in production to generate excitement and interest. I finally decided to buy a console game (first time since the Atari 2600, no joke), and I cannot find a Switch anywhere! Covid-related production problems, I'm sure, but still.
EDIT:
And before you say anything ... #firstworldproblems, yeah I know.
