This visual intrusion is so bad, it's humorous. Then again, Universal never really cared.
Except they also do care. The land is surrounded by those giant walls because of sight lines. Epic Universe is being designed with that same premise of physically and visually separated lands. The simultaneously obsess and don’t care. This visual intrusion is so bad, it's humorous. Then again, Universal never really cared.

They don’t care on the WaterWorld side but do on the Nintendo side.Except they don't care. As someone else mentioned, showing hills adjacent to a show that's supposed to take place when every continent is underwater is...well...to quote your username, "lazy."
But I also understand that the studios parks aren't designed with visual interference in mind, and Universal does do this a TOUCH better in IOA and apparently EU.
Agreed. Intrusion of theming from other lands can be fun and interesting. Intrusion of outside world and of show buildings, not so much. It's a positive "visual intrusion". The bright cheery cartoon world looks more appealing than the grungy post-apocalyptic Sea World look of the Waterworld show.
I don't know why people get so annoyed seeing other lands and things from wherever you are in a theme park. Never bothered me. That looks like it was photographed from fairly high up at a bizarre vantage point. If anything, it entices you to want to go see the land after you've watched Waterworld.
That's how I always seen Disneyland/MK as well. Main Street seemed like a world that connected to others. Pieces of different worlds intersecting through paths. When I seen Space Mountain peaking over the Frontierland buildings while on the Mark Twain, I see a new adventure ahead of me. I feel like people over-think it sometimes. It's all about fun first & foremost.Agreed. Intrusion of theming from other lands can be fun and interesting. Intrusion of outside world and of show buildings, not so much.
Nah. Bowser's sky ship from Mario Bros. 3 insteadI would love to see Mario’s airship come flying over the wall at the crowd at the climax of Waterworld!

Assuming it works like Universal Studios in Florida, most team members won't be called back until 2 days before previews (if there are any) begin. There will be some exceptions, such as management that will be needed to call everyone, but the vast majority will be about 2 days.Any world on reopening on July 1st?
That's two weeks away now. I would have to assume that if they are reopening on July 1st that Universal Studios employees have been scheduled by the thousands now, and may even have returned for retraining and information on new park policies and procedures.
Have any Universal Studios employees mentioned their imminent return to work for a July 1st reopening?
It is also possible that Universal will have everyone under very strict NDAs.
I honestly don't know, but I know they have done that with their employees before with various situations, so not outside the realm fo possibility. Was this the case in Florida? Not see why they'd do NDAs for Hollywood if they didn't elsewhere, but I'm asking for consistency in a world where we have none.
Yup, it’s pretty sad what happened to him. On a positive note, two of the animatronics from the attraction at Hollywood were archived and now reside in Hollywood’s Prop Warehouse on the backlot! With some of the recent throwback photos being posted, here are the remains of Hollywood’s Botanicus animatronic

This photo is from 2006, so no idea if it’s still sitting backstage, but it’s absolutely terrifying
