SLOPs is Yoshi. They just didn't have the room to put it down below. No idea where they would put DK since the area around Nintendo land is fairly new. Nintendo land sits on the land that originally held the soundstage that had the original Phantom of the Opera set and was considered haunted. The set burned down a few years ago.
Could DK replace Mummy?

It could but it would take away from the great outdoor scenes of the mine cart jumping breaks in the track. It would also just feel separate from USH's Nintendo land. I guess Nintendo land isn't really a land anyway since it is just Mario Kart.
Yeah that's true. I remember reading on the Universal forums that they wouldn't have it be outdoors due to the filming on the backlot. Maybe it could be indoors?

Most of it’s already inside, maybe they can get creative with some rock work scream tubes

I think you are just as likely to get Escape from Gringotts but even then I don't think there is enough room.

I think they should adapt Escape from Gringotts to a smaller Castle Dracula coaster. Imagine being chased by the Universal Monsters. They could even do the coaster car jump from DK.
It’s not a coaster, but the Epic Universe Universal Monsters E-Ticket seems like it would be a prime candidate for cloning.

I like the rumor from that podcast that Jurassic World was the phase 1 version because the ending I-Rex was not working correctly and they needed more time. It seems they put the b-mode static I-Rex at the end instead of at the bottom of the lift hill. I guess there was suppose to be three appearances of the I-Rex. It will nice to see the removal of the dead pterodactyl for some AA dinos instead.

Well, it would be nice to have something aside from the Studio Tour to distinguish us from Florida.

EDIT: The above comment is my initial thought on the matter, before I imagined that some might contest the statement, pointing to Jurassic World and Kung Fu Panda. I suppose that they are unique, but in that catagory the scale is grossly tipped in Florida's direction. I am still reeling from the speed in which Transformers, the biggest thing to come to Universal Hollywood in years, was casually copied back east.
