I was there for one reason. I would not have been there if not for that one reason, I would have been home.

Let me get the crayons out. Again. "Continuing to visit" is a misnomer, and it does not equate to supporting current direction, projects, pricing, etc. I am well within my right to make an appearance from time to time, and I am also well within my right to criticize things based off that appearance and past experiences. If I didn't visit from time to time, you'd sit behind your keyboard and criticize me for "never going, so how can you be critical??" and think yourself so high and mighty for doing it. So by all means, continue to play the fool for criticizing people no matter what they do.

I have no issue with you continuing to visit (or not—it’s your life) or criticising Disney. The only thing I don’t understand is why you would mock others here for being so-called Pixie Dusters given that you yourself still seem to be a user, so to speak. Just live and let live.

Plus I don't think he likes us anyway!

I agree I hope we do to. I am not getting the party type vibe with Starlight at all. I think this will be a situation where WDW gets the grand slow Spectro/Dreamlights parade and DL has the upbeat party parade.
Disney is verrrrrrrry slowly starting to take elements of 80's/90's disney with their projects i feel like. Original music for the Epcot nighttime show, WOM inspired Test Track, that Space 220 restaurant, even the Enchantment theme song had less of the modern disney pop vibes and more of a classy vibe. I could see this parade bring a continuation of that trend

I want Jiminy back as the announcer but I doubt that will happen…he was the voice of my WDW childhood.

Stop living in the past. Olaf and Moana are where it's at now. Sheesh...

There would have to be a show worthy of using Jiminy as the host. After the 1-2 punch of Wishes! and SpectroMagic, that's a tall order.

I do agree that Starlight does not give the vibe of a party parade. I personally am torn on what I want the music to be. I guess as long as it’s memorable and a earworm then I’m fine with it.

Yup - I'm planning on avoiding the first night entirely. I enjoy the energy behind opening day, but it becomes a mission to enjoy yourself.

Main Street as it is can't handle HEA crowds, let alone a night parade in between.

I already plan on being there opening night

Those children must have been the "Key to energy!"

If you don't know what I'm talking about, you clearly haven't listened to the source audio for the SpectroMen as I have...
To this day I'm still searching hard for a good transcript of all of the Spectromen's dialogue. The only bits of dialogue I could make out was "Zoom, zoom, zoom", "Look at her!", "Look at him!", "Spectromagic", "Zap!", "Electric Spectromagic", "Electric, Electric, Electric, Electric (laughing)", "Key to energy", and "Sends it round, round, round, round".

Also I'm so glad I wasn’t the only person who been obsessed with the Spectromen's unique dialogue. It was even harder when their voices used to be modified during the parade's early years.

No
I hope Ops is using the parties as a dry run for the night parade and fireworks. They certainly need the practice after seeing them handle HEA this week (which was nightmarish regarding crowd control).

I would think they’ll be running this twice with the fireworks sandwiched in between just to help spread out crowds.
