I think you overestimate how many people are clamoring to see a new parade. Not everyone is like you and a few others about this parade:

Locals? Some. "Every AP holder"? Not even close.
It 100% will be insanely packed, it was packed for the return of HEA, the return of Fantasmic and it was packed for the debut of Luminous. Starlight will be just as crowded.

Yup - I'm planning on avoiding the first night entirely. I enjoy the energy behind opening day, but it becomes a mission to enjoy yourself.

Main Street as it is can't handle HEA crowds, let alone a night parade in between.

The first night will be busy because the opening day of anything is busy. Vloggers gotta vlog.

HEA is "packed" because you have 10,000 people crammed into the hub and Main Street, the only place you can watch the stupid thing. Fantasmic returned to huge crowds because DHS had NOTHING else at night. How well have those Luminous crowds held up, by the way? I could have watched the show from a dozen front row spots in September, and that was just between France and Italy. No hurricanes or anything preventing people from being there.

Yes, I was referring to opening night. Also HDS has the wonderful world of animation show. Why do you feel the need to turn every thread into an argument?

Because I love poking fun at dust snorters. You talked about "trip planning" and "insane crowds". You inferred, rather hyperbolically, that there would be tons of locals and "every AP holder" planning a trip. What you should have said - "opening night will be jam packed, I'm sure". But instead, you went with the giddly schoolgirl "ZOMG!!!!1!11!!" approach.

I hope we get some form of behind the scenes video soon so we can get an idea of the vibes of the parade. I’m hoping for party vibes like Paint the Night, but I understand that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I agree I hope we do to. I am not getting the party type vibe with Starlight at all. I think this will be a situation where WDW gets the grand slow Spectro/Dreamlights parade and DL has the upbeat party parade.
