It's gonna be interesting what the reaction will be like, some of the floats for Starlight are bigger and more Tokyo styled than anything in Paint the Night. The floats are good, its gonna be down to what the soundtrack sounds like.

Guessing the floats are already finished or nearing the finish line?

That long??? Granted, I know nothing about Constructing Floats........

It's not necessarily that I know about constructing floats, it's just that most projects don't finish six months before their premier. They're often doing work on them up to the day things open. Heck, even movies nowadays sometimes aren't finalized until a week before opening day.

Considering Paint The Night is debuting at Disneyland on May 16th I wonder if Starlight might debut earlier than the rumored memorial weekend.

I’d go more with May 22nd when EU opens rather than what DL is doing.

WDW is not making it easy currently for trip planning for the debut. Although they probably prefer it that way since they know every AP holder and locals will quickly have MK reservations booked once they do announce the opening date.

I think you overestimate how many people are clamoring to see a new parade. Not everyone is like you and a few others about this parade:

Locals? Some. "Every AP holder"? Not even close.
