As hinted at in my original post from May 25th. The rebuilding of Tomorrowland has begun. It will be done in several phases over several years with the intitial phase ready in time for Holiday 2009 :king:

Expect an extensive refurbishment of COP just in time for WDW's 40th. anniversary in 2011.

Now where did I leave that Hatbox...

Last I heard it was scrapped in favor of FL, seeing they could have chosen which land were to get the refurb/expansion budget.

The hatbox was a ghost illusion shortly after the opening of the Haunted Mansion in Disneyland. It didn't work too well and was eventually removed. There is a lot of talk bringing it back with a lot of new merchandise with the ghost at DL.
The illusion would show the ghosts head on his body then it would appear in the hatbox he was holding.

A new AA for HM to sit right next to Constance.

He USED to be in the DL HM, but back in the 60's his tech was faulty.

I would rather have it earlier in the attic. Having 2 big figures at the same part of the ride distracts a bit of the rider's attention

well Disneyland is supposed to recieve it in january when it reopens from the holiday overlay according to Lutz. I just can't think of a time where Disney will have an opprotunity in florida to do it. Unless they are literally just going to do it overnight but then why not open it already?? Why wait for Disneyland to catch up? I'm thinking theres more to the plans than simply adding the hatbox figure hmmm.
