Nice picture of Tomorrowland!:D

I'm frustrated with my digital rebel xti. It works well for me in the daytime and when I use filters (i've done my various trip reports over the years using this camera), but when it comes to interiors of attractions or at night, I feel screwed.

I don't have a fast lens, I'm not sure where to find an affordable fast EF lens, but as of now the lens that came with my camera goes down to 3.5 and thats it. I can bump up the ISO...but anything over 400 gets very "noisy".

Ugh. :brick:

the "nifty fifty" (50mm f/1.8) for the Canon costs around $100 or less. That's what you need for dark rides, interiors, or night shots without a tripod. Alternatively, you could buy a tripod, but that would only help with night shots and not with the interior and dark ride stuff.

Although I use a Nikon system, I can tell you that the XTi is an excellent camera. I almost bought it as my first DSLR.

These may not be everyone's favorite attractions in the MK, but they sure look pretty at night!

Clicking the picture takes you to its Flickr page, where there are my camera settings, and where you can download a high resolution copy or navigate to my other WDW shots!

*sigh* :D :o Makes me miss it...

Yea but those buildings were built and designed that way Looong before some crackshot MBA decided to put monsters inc. and stitch in there.

That pic would be alot better without thoes garish cheap signs (Alien encounter and timekeeper had much classier signs that were tucked away, not slaped on the side screaming CHARECTERS HERE!!!). Heck, even just removing wackoski and stitch would make those signs classier. Having the charecters there its as if WDI was trying to emulate IOA's Marvel super hero island.

Agreed. Having the character on the marque looks cheesey.

Does anyone know if they will eventually be getting rid of the cheap mideval fair architecture as part of any of the plans? I really wish it would go soon, then they could give Peter Pan, Snow White, and Philharmagic similar exteriors to the ones in DL.

I certainly hope so, though that part of FL is not being touched, per the info and art we have seen.

I don't know, it works now on a limited basis as it is outside the castle walls. So it will have a better sense of place. That said, it won't change during phase 1 but I have a feeling that in the long run you will get your wish. Phase 2?

Just a hunch.

I could see it happening, too. Would make more sense to have the Land look concurrent.

I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't, because the expansion is actually a sensible addition to what already is WDI's justification for the theme of the medieval fair area.

Perhaps.

I do wish that it would all become a village, or actual community, though.

I actually think the motif of the existing FL will work better with the New FL. Castles separated by the medieval fair leading to the forest. Right now its awkward because you have castle leading to fair leading to ... another fair?

I guess....Either way, they could smooth some edges out.

(AKA...Want the SWSA Facade )
Nah, it's just the county fair leading into the state fair. Seems pretty obvious me! :p

Is it really!?

As hinted at in my original post from May 25th. The rebuilding of Tomorrowland has begun. It will be done in several phases over several years with the intitial phase ready in time for Holiday 2009 :king:

Expect an extensive refurbishment of COP just in time for WDW's 40th. anniversary in 2011.

Now where did I leave that Hatbox...
