All Epcot, All the Time (aka Has Disney given up on SSE?)

I have felt this way from the beginning. The "create your future" cartoon is a cute idea, and would have worked just fine in Project Tomorrow. IMO, it has absolutely no place in the ride.

Ditto. The cartoon simply doesn't fit. This isn't a fanboy rant or anything of the sort; anybody with a basic understanding of filmmaking and theater would agree that different genres shouldn't be randomly smashed together. After the dramatic and inspiring build-up to the top of SSE, the far-fetched, goofy cartoon is ridiculously anticlimatic. And when it doesn't work right, it's even more useless.

To be honest with you, I don't understand just exactly how they're going to make time for the improved descent; when the video works properly, it takes up nearly the entire time down.

Jeez...I didn't realize Epcot had closed during the couple of years that I haven't been to WDW. We're down to about 2 1/4 parks now...

Good point, but as long as there is more to look at then the lame cartoon can play the whole way down all it wants to. I just wish the music would be better or a moving finale like before. By moving finale im referring to the city with the grand music. Or maybe the hanging epcot ball was the finalle to some, I guess I always considered the whole entire stretch the finale. And right now there is none. But I guess "tomorrow" in the near future we will know for sure and be happier with whatever they do.

The time DACS sent Haunted Mansion audio to SGE. Good enough example?

I don't know if it was DACS or simply a wiring mess-up, but there was a long stretch of time where a single speaker on the TTA was playing the narration track from much earlier in the ride. It was on the final curve over Buzz before the sharp turn into the station.

Could be you passed through a wormhole in SM and were at the finish of the ride before you actually embarked. It's a well known problem :lookaroun
