Do you guys think the current cartoon is permanent and was meant to be all along? Or more of a temporary thing for the screens until the surroundings are complete?
Im just thinking that if the cartoon is concrete as is, then there really is not going to be much more done in the descent (except maybe the triangles turned on) because they want you focused on that screen.
Or maybe something different will be inserted on the screens to match whats around you etc etc. I know all this has been discussed before but its getting more interesting now if they complete it in a few months.

That's what I'm thinking/hoping.

Another confession, even though it is incredibly tacky and lacks the EPCOT Center feel, I like the video screens as they currently are. :lookaroun

The current video/imagery on the touch screens will quickly be seen as outdated within five years. Just the style of the animation... It has a very mid-2000s feel, not very timeless.

The graphics are pretty much it; the big changes will warrant a change in timings as I said earlier. The main complaint was guests don`t want to be forced to watch a screen if they don`t want to; they will have a choice of incar or out of car things to see.

I`d have said more late 60's - plus when has outdated imagery worried Epcot *cough* Energy *cough* ?

Ah, the freedom of choice! How very 'Horizons-esque' of them! ;)

It's been my 'User Title' for a few months now, with no end in sight! :king:

Sure! I get the lead vocals though... How's your child-like voice to sing backup?

As of right now, I've got 2/27-3-2 off work, free lodging and admission from a friend who lives 5 minutes from Epcot, the free bday gift card from WDW and $20 WDW gift card from a Magic Friend sent to me for Christmas!

I'm reaaaaaaaaaaally trying to work it out.

We will definitely have to get together ..I hope you can go!

Ah, true. This thread is making for some fun reading. I wonder what they would do if we all stormed SSE one evening with huge flashlights to see whats going on? Maybe some external iPod speakers too to play Tomorrow's Child? :lookaroun

Awesome. Awesome to the max. Walter Cronkite is still alive, isn't he? We could invite him along, too! :D
