Yeah, they've been there for at least a couple of weeks, probably longer. They sit in a fixture right down by the ride track, pointing up, directly into the black curtain. Can you think of any reason that they would want the bottom of a plain black curtain illuminated for?

Very interesting...:sohappy:

I've got a question, did you think the curtains were closer to your time machine than in previous visits?

When I was done last week, I thought they were, but I didn't say anything because I thought I was losing my mind.

Well, now that you mention it, they were. I didn't actively notice it as I was riding but that thought did pop up in the back of my mind at some point.

No. Where did that rumor start?:lookaroun

No rumor, that was was an allusion to one of the nuttier conversations on here from shortly after Spaceship Earth reopened.

A couple weeks ago I thought the curtains were closer to the vehicles also, is something growing or building back there or what? :animwink:
Also a couple other things I noticed, right in that same spot but on the left side, there are new pot lights if you will in a row, but up in the ceiling that seemed to be glowing blue light, it was as if they werent all the way on but yet slightly on. Whatever that means. I didnt notice the ones along the track I guess I was looking up.

Towards the end of the descent where all the chicken wire is above, you could see pieces of roofing and insulation just laying there on top of the chicken wire, yikes was that ugly, so apparently someone has been up above there working because those materials were not laying around up there in november. The audio was much much better at the 180 top club, thankgoodness, now they just need to pump it up everywhere else and turn it on outside. I still say it wasnt broke before why did they have to mess with any of it, oh well. They didnt learn their lesson from Imagination it seems like.

Heres the only thing that bothers me, I asked a cast member about completing it and the person was super nice to talk with. But the answer was "its completed and there will be no further changes or additions, its all done". I said your kidding please tell me thats not true. The answer was "as far as I know they have finished everything". So that makes me , but I hope the person is 110% wrong, since so many of the rest of you still say its coming in time, patience my child for tomorrow, :). I hope. Interesting to hear all the different takes thats for sure.

Oh there has been no changes to the triangles in my opinion for months, only the ones towards the very end of the descent glow, the rest do nothing. Anyone think they will do something with the three big ones that glow and come together in a traingle? I still dont get that, thats a nice big spot for something much better. cough cough like a glitter city.

fanboyish vibes from the girl in the window

once the ride is finished, spring breakish:

you choose your language, then you choose where you are from, and then you answer questions, but these will be new questions and more random, you then have your picture taken and the screen turns off

I don't think the screens will turn on until the very end of the ride where they might show a quick flash video about project tomorrow and the image of earth becoming SSE

yes you will still see yourself on the globe, but I wouldn't doubt it if you could then choose different situations to email yourselves in

after we pass the infinite blue stars, I wonder if we will have a new pepper's ghost ala world of motion where you literally see yourself in the future, then we pass the starburst of triangles and KABOOM everyones futures are there to see as the triangles glow and the fiber optics that are still in the canopy twinkle and dance as we go through a new version of tomorrow's child, with a possible explanation of Siemens Generation 21

^Me likes those vibes. :)

Still, wth all the discussing recently, I'm begnning to think that we're making things out to be more than they seem. You hear a lot of "I don't think that was there before..." or "That seems -insert adjective here- from what I remember" and what not. Maybe we're all gettng a bit paranoid about this. :lookaroun (more so than usual I mean.)

Yep, I saw them too. I thought I had just missed them on previous trips, but if you noticed them as new too...:)

clearly......toms child or not....the ending will be more interactive

as too many sweatshirt moms and LOLgirlz are busy looking at their screens and not anywhere else....these triangles and other effects are not being installed for the hell of it.

And yes....you will all get a better understanding of sweatshirt moms and LOLgirlz when I do my TR in January :dazzle:

I guess I'll change my avatar after my TR as it still has clucky the epcot bird floating in space with the girl in the window, chicken wire, blinky lights, and some triangles.

Sometimes Cast Members know as much about these things things as we do the only person who really knows is Bob Zalk and he is not telling.

Ooooh! Fantastic work, Expo!:king:

That scenario works very, very well...I would be surprised if there was any other way to do it.

Just some thoughts for discussion:

I think the "canopy" that the triangles are attached to is the same canopy from the 1994 version of SSE. When I was evacuated from 180top in January there were no triangles but plenty of fiber optics hanging from the canopy.

How about the black curtains that sit on both sides of us at the very end of the descent......this is where the peg board walls used to be until 1994 and then they became black curtains but in 2007 they are now star curtains....have these moved at all, or gotten closer? :lookaroun

Otherwise it seems like the most attention is in the old gass clouds and peppers ghost area where all the holes in the ceiling will be filled in and refoamed and then whatever new show scenes will be revealed when those curtains come down.

The new curtained area is purely where the peppers ghosts were; this is the only space available originally used for rear projection video. A minor new addition is the `flower` structure - with triangles - where the glitter city used to be. The `pegboard` walls were simple patterns of light embedded in the walls, with a depth of a foot or less; in 1986 they had mirrors added to give an infinity effect. The left hand wall can`t come closer since it`d block the escape stairs. The right hand wall could in theory come to the Omni as it used to (the 1994 UV SSE model shows how much space there was between the ride system and the descent tube wall)

Lets hope, part me of me says they have no plans to add a "new scene or scenes" there but instead just a lit wall or something, but Im still trying to stay positive about it lol. This is where I think the curtains are much closer to the vehicles now, but further down the descent I thought some had been removed, that use to be very close to the vehicles. If some were removed nothing was revealed but dark space.

I dont know why but I cant stand those three big glowing triangles that come together in a point where the city use to be, I hate it. It just bothers me but I cant explain why lolol I just think its poor show and no effort whatsoever was put into it, makes no sense. Anyway back to topic lol, interesting about the canopy being reused, is it though? I was thinking it was a brand new structure of poles because before there was no canopy at all except for the mesh of sparkling lights overhead in the one section after the glittercity.
