So, you're saying the FL expansion is a hoax?

I'm not. I'm just reporting what a mice chat forum poster posted to a Laughing Place forum about information posted by an anonymous blogger on another forum I can't remember the name of.

So, personally I'm waiting for the D23 Expo to get the real skinny.

No, he's saying an anonymous micechat poster said that.

Actually, now that I think about it, 1 poster here did also, and I think it was HMF, but I could be wrong.

There's a big difference between saying "some people say this is a hoax" making a crack about "false rumors". Seems to me, JT is implying that the whole thing is false. Which pretty much goes against any reliable source I've seen.

That's a pretty high stakes game to play with one's credibility. But if it turns out he's right and everyone else is wrong, more power to him. I guess we'll know in a few weeks.

Thanks for clarifying. But, in retrospect, that really makes your "false rumor" post seem weak. Seriously weak. Pathetic even.

He's just bitter because it was just announced DL's third theme park is a.......................(drum roll)................parking lot! :ROFLOL:

The DL "3rd Gate"/strawberry field site will be used as a parking lot for the next 6-10 years. Considering all the $$ going into the DCA revamp, it's highly unlikely that TWDC would be building a third Anaheim park during that time frame anyway. It would be quite easy to build a 3rd theme park on a temporary parking lot once DCA has been brought up to snuff. Just sayin'.

Thank you. I see I'm making my point clear.

This entire rumor is pathetic so naturally anything that follows would be less than credible.

That is the point. At least that is what the anonymous blogger said the bus driver's cousin's bookie claims.

So do you seriously think the plans were a hoax or are you just saying that to discredit the rumors about the budget being cut? I'm still not sure what your stance is because you keep making a point and then distancing yourself from it.

I think there are literally hundreds of blueprints floating around. So in that respect it could be leaked. It could also have been created as a hoax. Either way the rumor has never gained traction. It has only generated on line speculation on top of speculation. There seems to be little substance to it. I like the plan but the rumor of a $750 million dollar budget caused me to start to question the entire rumor.

D23 is just around the corner.

The point is JT likes to criticize Al Lutz for making up information when JT is constantly doing the same thing.

Of course, Al has a better track record than JT. So I guess it's just JT who likes to make up information.

I don't claim to be reporting inside information unlike Al. As I have said, I am not an insider nor do I have connections to any insiders. I speculate on future happenings based on past events and research. I've always made that clear.

Al on the other hand claims insider knowledge without retractions when he gets it wrong. Enderikari explained it very well in the WDW74 thread (wdw74 was also completely wrong and it was claimed to be insider information.)

You are calling out the wrong person for "making things up". I just call it as I see it. Pure opinion. :xmas:

I completely disagree that the leaked plans never gained traction. Just about every source I consider to be reliable has stated that they believe the blueprints to be real or based on real blue prints. It seems really unlikely that they are a hoax at this point.

What we don't know is what Disney had in mind for the blueprints. There's a lot of unkowns here. But to say that any report that involves the fantasy land expansion should automatically be discredited is just throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

Also, I suspect that if Al had reported that Disney had doubled the budget for the project rather than reduced it, you would be reacting very differently.
