I am not a sequel trilogy hater as many on here are, but they did make some missteps that would be hard to go back and fix now.

Many fans have been asking for this, but narratively, I don’t think it would make sense for them to appear (at least all 3 of them) in this show.

I could see Leia appearing if this show was more based around the rebel alliance (as Leia appears in Rebels), but I digress.
I wouldn’t expect to see any “legacy” characters aside from Anakin and maybe a surprise person (whoever the inquisitor actually is)
…its a lot to untangle - for sure. The three originals not being reunited on screen is emblematic of an utter failure on behalf of those in control at Lucasfilm.
All fans have been saying this whole time they need to sort their situation out. Actually, be able to deliver what fans want and don't know they want to see.
If we are now at the point they are adapting stories and minimising if not outright writing out the original characters from them. It speaks to nothing at all being addressed within Lucasfilm, if anything to the broken creative choices being double downed on.
So unless they are utterly broken, they have to include the originals. We should be seeing another angle to the story focused on other characters but it still needs the originals to tell the story. Or else it really does point to Lucasfilm's creative team and management being far worse than has been speculated and shown by their track record.
Hogwash. And I am not talking about THIS show (although Luke could show up). I'm talking about the Filoni movie in the works. That is where it would happen. I can see, in this show, Ahsoka making a plea to Luke for help and that bringing us into a reunion for the movie. Yeah, there were missteps that made the ST subpar, but they can make up for lost time with the new movie(s) set in the Mando/Ahsoka/Skeleton Crew era with Thrawn being that series' "Thanos".Many fans have been asking for this, but narratively, I don’t think it would make sense for them to appear (at least all 3 of them) in this show.
The time to bring all 3 of these characters back would’ve been in the sequel trilogy, and while they all appeared, never all 3 of them together, as they were too busy killing Luke’s character figuratively and literally killing Han’s…. Oh wait Leia died too…..

You are on step like 647….Hogwash. And I am not talking about THIS show (although Luke could show up). I'm talking about the Filoni movie in the works. That is where it would happen. Maybe they should have started with step 647 so that they had something solid to reach for.You are on step like 647….
…Disney stubbed their toe on like step 4 and it’s still bleeding
No argument thereMaybe they should have started with step 647 so that they had something solid to reach for.
The problem is that the prequels were criticized for completely different reasons than the ST. The prequels had some hiccups such as Jar Jar, midiclorians, and, well, the script (the latter could have been changed simply by George letting go of his ego and having someone else direct and write dialogue). The stories, however, had what the ST did not. That is a clear beginning, middle, and end with each film directly and clearly leading to the next.No argument there
If Anyone has a good reason why you buy something that had the years of criticism during the prequels and NOT first attempt to study the heck out of it and understand what to avoid?….is beyond me?
Well it turned out in the wash the prequels were betterThe problem is that the prequels were criticized for completely different reasons than the ST. I'd agree with this. Ego is a big part of the prequels problems. George seemed to surround himself with a lot of yes men. He would have been much better off being the creative force and let others collaborate. Ego hurt the sequels as well. The difference is George is infinitely more talented than Kennedy and company. The problem is that the prequels were criticized for completely different reasons than the ST. Yup. The half baked pass the baton approach just didn't work for me. We had some good moments in the sequels if you are looking at it in a vacuum. But overall it just fell flat. Hopefully with John and Dave helming this whole mandoverse, we get a cohesive story from start to finish. The stories, however, had what the ST did not.
