That is not an internet forum initialism. It is an acronym used in aviation to indicate a short take off and landing airport.

Master Yoda explained it very well. At WDW, this particularly refers to the strip that runs down the center of this map, along World Drive. At one point, this was actually used as a runway. Now, it is usually only used as a bus staging area.

I am with the original poster. I have been on here for years and think the acronyms are tools of a lazy mind. It interrupts the flow of both thought and reading. Most acronyms are usually prefaced by the meaning; American Adventure (AA), to alleviate any confusion. The scary thing is that after years I know them all :lookaroun
