I was confirmed in 9th grade. I was supposed to have been in 7th when I was confirmed but the church kept pushing the grade back because kids weren't coming back for the optional 8th and 9th grade classes. Kids still arent staying for the extra years though.

My kids were both confirmed in 10th grade; I'm not sure if that's a Diocese of Albany rule, or what. (I was confirmed in the 7th grade, and so was my husband.)

I think that's the reasoning behind all the Cathloic schools in my area.

On a side note: You grew up in New Your City?

I'm originally from Queens Village, we moved upstate (actually about 45 miles north of NYC) when I was 14.

A quick recap of my day:

I went ot DAK at 3:30 to ride EE......

I got there, the FP's were gone (as expected) and the line was 70 minutes long (which was about right)

I did not care....I had not been on it yet...and wanted to ride.

I really hate waiting in lines.....most of the time, if something is more that 15 minutes, I don't wait.....

So, I got in line behind the family from HELL

The mother was waiting with the baby, and the father was with the 3 other kids...ages 6/7/8

The kids were terrors......at one partof the queue, the line wraps through a tea garden....the kids were running around, stepping on and pulling the branches off of the plants. Also, they were molesting the bamboo plants....the father was doing nothing. Fianlly, I looked at the father and said "what the "eff" if your problem?"

He said "WHAT?"

I said "it is obvious that Disney worked rather hard, and spent a lot of money, to make this area look nice.....your kids are destroying it, and yet you do nothing"

He said " do you care?"

I said "Wow....great attitude....please don't breed anymore......we don't need any more a$$holes like you running around"

So anyway...the ride was good....rather enjoyable...probably the best new attraction since ToT.

Afterwards, I went to Epcot and ate dinner, had a drink at the Rose and Crown (worst pour on property) and watch Illuminations (presented by Sylvania, a Siemens company:lol: )

After that, I parked at the wedding pavilion and went to MK...watched Wishes....the Milestones in Animation, and then went to the GF to Mizner's to have a drink prior to departing.

My 3rd favorite bartender at WDW was working.....she is a hoot......the bar was busy.....and I stuck up conversation with 2 older ladies sitting next to me. There were 2 very homely drunk ladies around my age across the bar......the entire bar decided that they were going to go to Jellyrolls (as the resort bars do last call at 11:30pm

One of the drunk homely ladies came up behind me....invading my personal space, and said "Come to Jellyrolls with us"

I said "Sorry, I have other commitments"

She said "don't you want to come and party with 2 hot and women"

I said "yeah...where are they"

She did not talk to me after that

A class for his confirmation. Down here, most eighth graders (assuming they're Catholic) take classes before they can be "confirmed" as Catholics.

I'm actually not Catholic. It's more confirming that you're a member of the church. (Maybe it means the same...)

BAM!!!

A shower of bright blue (actually quite pretty) sparks shower everything within three feet (yours truly had the presence of mind to step into the next room and peek around the corner, one hadn on the phone to dial 911).

Where's Emeril when you need him?

Don't mistake pretty sparks for dangerous hazards. I've had that happen once too many times. :lookaroun
