I don't have any REAL good stories but when I was on my CP in 2003-2004 I worked at La Nouba, I bawled like a baby every time someone got proposed to and I probably saw about 6 proposals. I've always wanted to get proposed to/married at Disney - any takers?

where you in chatham or vista way?

That is sooo romantic people actually propose at la nouba?

It truely is a place like no other - I highly recommend spending a few days volunteering there.

I only got to volunteer there one night on my CP. It was the best night I was there.

I highly recommend that you do it.

It is an AMAZING opportunity, definitely don't let the chance pass you by. I volunteer here at home for Make A Wish and since I got to go to GKTW while I was out there, I really really urge all of my wish families to stay there, it is amazing.

I can't wait to! I kept telling myself that I would volunteer, but over 3 programs I never did. This time I definitely will.

And kcw, that story had me .

Epcot is such a great place to work

It is! I worked there last summer, and I loved getting to see Illuminations every night.

What a really nice story. Yes, you CMs do get to touch people one at a time. For you guys, its a days work, but trust me, our kids, and we, do remember these things and tell these stories for a lifetime. Kudos.

Dopey Story:

Little kid ran right into Dopey's arms. Dopey sat on the ground 'criss cross' style. He sat the child in his lap with his arms around him. The child just sat and grinned and laughed. Dopey would lean closer to the child and the child just giggled more. The child just kept touching Dopey's face and giggling more. Finally after about 5 minutes, mom took the child away and placed him in his stroller. The child immediately started crying. Dopey had just started to visit with another family and held up his finger as if to say "could you just wait one minute please?" Dopey went over to the stroller and simply leaned down and the child again started giggling. Dopey stayed for another minute and mom wheeled the child away. It was amazing to see.

Aladdin Story:

You know little girls usually run and park themselves in the arms of a princess, much like that great video from youtube of Aurora in the blue dress. Well this beautiful little girl just ran and parked herself right into Aladdin's arms. She snuggled right in and beamed the whole time. Jasmine asked if she could get a hug as well, but the girl was quite content in Aladdin's arms. Not till the end did she finally give Jasmine a hug.

They aren't heart wrenching stories, but just the joy of Disney magic that made me a bit misty.

I got touched up when I was able to watch a proposal. It happened in front of the castle, right underneath the clock. From what I gathered, it was going to be a second marriage for the man (he had children). Anyway. The stage manager had roped off a little area for them, and was going to "take" a family picture. Well, the camera "didn't go off", and he asked her to try again. Well, this time he went down on his knee and asked the question. The look on her face was priceless. The best part though, was right afterward. One of the kids said "Yay, Dad's getting married! Can we go do rides now?". Everyone burst out laughing.

I can tear up at the beginning of "When You WIsh Upon a Star" when the orchestra plays before the singing. Makes me think of what a magial place Disney is and makes me feel like a little kid again.
