I think my problem with it is that I had rode Indy first, so when I finally rode Dinosaur I guess my expectations were too high. Instead of an exciting ride, I found myself feeling like I was part of a sixth grade science experiment. It's like a slow tour of a prehistoric forest, identifying plant genus whIle trying to avoid getting chased by a dinosaur who sorta shows up. Shoehorning the meteor thing to try and create a sense of urgency feels lazy, and is badly executed. It's a dumb ride.
But hey, different strokes for different folks. ..
It's funny. I rode them in reverse order, and I found Indy to be dry. Probably because I was used to terrifyingly fast and huge animatronics. The boulder was cool, but I just don't find the scenes in Indy to be all that interesting. Screen Beatles fog rats, just not that great. However Dino is probably my favorite ride at WDW. Such a cool idea, fast paced, and even though it's been toned down A LOT, still a lot of fun.
