I really hope we get an Indy ride for Orlando, but I want it to be it's own thing. Not a copy of California's or Japan's or France's (which is basically just Indy in name only, he doesn't show up on the ride), but an original ride for DHS. Maybe a boat ride (since DHS doesn't have one) that could exist next to the stage show (which in turn would have a bit of an update). If an Indy land is ever built, just make it a trifecta- Stunt Show, Boat Ride, Mine Cart Roller Coaster with a bazaar themed quick service.

YES PLEASE! Anything Indy to be honest. Indy 5 comes out July 2019. So there's zero chance we get anything before them, but come on... they know Indy will make loads of money, even if a lot of people didn't like Indy 4 (I did). Indy as a franchise is here to stay, even though Harry doesn't have a lot longer left in the franchise. It has staying power and certainly pull in the parks, so seriously Disney... Do it.

My friend in California cannot believe that we don't have an Indy ride. It's her favorite ride at Disneyland, so she's a tiny bit hesitant about coming to the World. I wouldn't mind a ride for our Adventureland, but to do it justice, I think it should really go to DHS. One, it's a gain for that park, two, it would fit better over there.

Absolutely! Of course it makes sense in Adventureland, but it really should be in DHS. Something original would be cool, but I'm having a hard time coming up with an idea that isn't an attraction that already exists.

There is so much untapped potential for that IP. The ride(s) could follow an original story (a la DLR and TDS) or it could focus on a scene or two from the movies (though I'm going to need to disagree with you on Indy 4). Examples: the mine cart scene from Indy 2 and the boat chase from Indy 3. I wouldn't be upset if a ride system like Splash Mountain/Jurassic Park was used for something. As long as it's a decent ride, and it has a very high capacity (something has to be built to take the strain off of the Star Wars rides), I'd be happy.

I love the first and third Indiana Jones films, but I think a ride would need to focus on the non-Nazi parts. Leave them for the Stunt Show where they can be beaten up every hour by Indy and Marion. I feel like a ride where the focus is escaping Nazis is a recipe for disaster.

hahaha ok ok... I get it, I just really unabashedly enjoy it. As far as the rides tho, that's the difficulty I'm finding. A minecart ride would be like Disneyland Paris and a ride with scenes would be the Disneyland ride. I kinda think your idea for a splash ride would work. Make it more like the new Pirates ride in Shanghai. I could see a raft falling out a cargo plane, going down a mountain, splashing into river rapids and ending in a strange village. The Temple of Doom opening is perfect for a ride.

Temple of Doom is actually the movie that probably could spawn the most ride ideas. While Raiders is the movie that comes to mind to most casual fans (boulder, monkey idol, Marion, arc of the covenant), Doom arguably has the best material to adapt a ride from (minus the Indian stereotypes).

Another idea that could be a little difficult in theory, but would be neat, IMO. If a boat ride based on Doom was created, theme the coaster to the plane sequence from Crusade. Just eliminate the Nazis. The planes could be built on a suspender coaster format, and the format would be pretty original to the parks (Disney doesn't have anything like that, right?) So, you would have something from each film of the original trilogy. Of course, that eliminates Crystal Skull and Indy 5, which could hurt some of the movie tie-ins at the park.

But I feel like Disney would rather have everyone remember Indy when he looked like this (no offense to Harrison, he still looks good for his age):

Indiana Jones Adventure: The Lost City of Atlantis

Though my idea is more of an indoor raft ride rather than a simple boat.

New. A raft ride to blow away all other raft rides due to its use of special effects. One scene I've imagined would be close to the end where temple walls around you crumble and crack releasing blasts of water. Yes, you get absolutely soaked on this ride :)
And people would need that after waiting in Star Wars lines all afternoon ;)

In a few years, Star Tours is going to stick out like a sore(er) thumb in 1930s Hollywood. I won't try to wrap my head around the logistics of running a two-in-one here, but as long as they're looking for something to do with it, why not salvage the simulators and make it the best preshow ever? Like maybe a globetrotting airplane?

Premise: it's 1939 and you're a film extra hired by a frenzied, Carl Denham-like director to shoot a movie on some uncharted island where Indiana Jones has reportedly gone missing...

If it were up to me, my idea for a Star Tours overhaul would be Dr. Strange. The possibilities for stunning special effects and stunning 3D visuals in a simulator with that IP are endless. Plus, the exterior can be rethemed to actually fit in Hollywood with perhaps the city having a new Sanctum building for the Masters of the Mystic Arts.

To be honest I think this type of overlay could be even better for Rockin Roller Coaster if they went all out for physical sets (plus it would complement ToT perfectly with a Sanctum's mystical and slightly spooky theme). Of course though putting a Marvel attraction that isn't GotG at the end of sunset opens the doors to some very dangerous territory...

Strange as a Tower of Terror replacement makes more sense to me. It'd be very easy to adapt the hotel into being a Hollywood Sanctum or as a gathering place for Dormammu cultists that Strange is trying to take down.

Rock n' Rollercoaster getting the Guardians of the Galaxy treatment is the most sensible option for that IP. As for Star Tours, like I keep saying in the Muppet Courtyard thread, make it into Pigs in Space.

It works but ToT as it exists is too perfect.

GotG for RnRC would still stand out like a sore thumb thematically (unless it's the start of a whole Marvel land I suppose). Pigs in Space I highly doubt would be popular enough for them to have a ride for it, though it could be fun. Also I think a Rocket Racoon AA piloting a ship for a ST overlay (over C3PO) could also be cool. Lots of potential for fun stuff in the future if they think it through right, lol.

As far as Strange for the Tower, I don't disagree that it would work, but the problem there is that ToT is already so incredibly amazing and iconic that it shouldn't even be considered for any replacement in the first place.

If Guardians was going to replace a DHS attraction (instead of just getting a new ride like it should), I have to agree with the Star Tours idea. You could even keep the random sequences (each themed to a different song from the Playlists).
