Interesting comment yesterday on CNBC...

When they were talking about the analyst article suggesting that Disney should sell ESPN, David Faber asked the question if the analyst had Bob's permission to publish that article... suggesting that:

1. It could be on the table after all...
2. The analysts aren't really that independent after all...

I guess its better to sell and someone preserve them, than doing the "Disney" way of silently and secretly moving the stuff to landfills to let it be destroyed permanently with no recovery.

clearly you are ill-informed from being afk Dave. Disney is simply giving people new options if you care to partake... that's what we are being told by everyone who is ok with the price tags being hung like holiday cheer in the last few weeks. You just don't accept the reality that prices increase and options are good... You should be happy Disney is operating like the airlines, and has the customer service expectation of "it works doesn't it? that's good enough"

This is the new norm... and the people that will keep feeding the monster.

It's the same story as 85% of all the Disney animated films and the Pixar animated films of the last seven years?

It's almost a mad libs game at this point. "Moana Dory Anna Ralph Miguel decides to follow search for uncover discover track down Elsa the witch her parents the floating lights De la Cruz himself. He teams up(<== I don't even got the energy for this one) with another friendly (and skeletal) spirit pig balloon man ugly snow creature...

It's not just the theme parks folks, everything they're doing is tired and formulaic

Let us not forget that in addition to all the up charge options there is also a constant chipping away of the value of what you are receiving for the money you do spend---even for the options.

Well, looks like the little park that can is doing it again! Fun Spot America in Kissimmee just announced they are building a looping wooden roller coaster in 2017. It will replace two Go-Kart tracks and with proper marketing, they should be able to get some curious WDW goers to come check it out. Between that, Volcano Bay and Avatar, 2017 will be quite fun in the Orlando area...

I know it's just an animation and all, but I sure hope some of the engineering in that animation at time point 0:57 is wrong because there's NO way the clearance envelope between the car and that beam on the main drop is sufficient...
