A Terror-rific Spirited 13th (ToT fans have lots to fear)...

Apparently they just confirmed at Destination D that WDW's ToT is safe from Marvel intrusion.

I'm thinking the Universal contract is preventing it. Everyone hasn't been speculating that GOTG were safe for Disney, but there has to be a reason it was stopped and it wasn't calls to the main office.

Agreed about what others are saying. Disney also "confirmed" Guardians Tower at DCA was a made up, fanboi rumor that simply wasn't true, and now the whole facade is up in tarps, while the team is picking which songs from Guardians of the Galaxy they want to use for the ride.

I've learned to never completely trust Disney, as they have a track record of lying.

Assuming that the Epcot transformation upcoming will have its own sub-forum. There has been a lot of tweets about this, one being the challenging of WDI to dream big for this one.

There's also this mandate for more SEA stuff in all the parks.

Now if somebody's smart enough to use Dreamfinder's audio cameo in the Skipper Canteen as an argument for giving him and Figment SEA membership, Journey into Imagination 4 could fill Epcot's SEA slot.

  • Backlot Tour
  • LMA Stunt Show
  • American Idol
  • Honey I shrunk the Kids Playground
  • Streets of America
  • The Magic of Disney Animation
  • American Film Institute Showcase
  • Legend of Captain Jack Sparrow (not there too long, but still closed recently)
  • Daytime parade (Pixar parade ended in 2013)
  • Osborne Lights (Seasonal)

American Idol was replaced by Frozen Sing-Along.

Streets of America as "an attraction" is very generous, as is including the seasonal Osborne Lights.

Disney Animation was replaced by Launch Bay.

AFI: That was part of Back Lot Tour which had stopped being about movie and TV production long ago. It also closed a whole year before the construction.

Legend of CJS was once the Narnia M&G and became the Magic Mickey M&G before it closed. Magic Mickey moved to a new location and is joined by Hollywood Minnie.

Yes, lots of closures, but also lots of replacements. And for each replacement one wants to complain about as not being good, many arguments can be made about what had closed as not being that good, either (Legend of CJS was awful, IMO, and was replace by a M&G).

If you want to know really how much has been taken away, look to real estate, not a list of things to do. Every building that isn't part of the construction is being utilized. Whatever was in those buildings that has closed, has been replaced with something new. Idol become Frozen. Millionaire becomes TSM. Sounds Dangerous becomes Jedi Film and M&Gs. Animation becomes Launch Bay. Big Wizard Hat becomes SW stage shows. Pizza Planet becomes Rizzo's.

The real estate that is taken away for construction had a finite list of things happening: BLT, LMA, playground, mostly unused flex theater, mostly unused stage set, a few eateries. Anything else you want to point to that went away has something else happening in its place.

People don't have to over exaggerate to make a point. DHS was always a small park, and is now about 20% smaller. No need to claim falsely it's half gone or a third gone (especially with a new big night show) or is just a toxic dump with Kylo Ren out front throwing a fit.

Is there a video clip of the Dreamfinder/Skipper cameo?

Don't trust it. Do people not remember when they called the offices about ToT being safe on both coasts and they lied...yea. It may be safe for the rest of the year but doesn't mean for good.
There's a bit of difference between phone calls where the person on the other side might not know anything and this direct announcement but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It's all about the very specific moment in time. If the project is not confirmed right now, then saying it is not happening is a true statement. Its the same thing with New Fantasyland being the Magic Kingdom's biggest expansion because areas that were once open at that moment were closed. Or Shanghai Disneyland getting new attractions for opening because at that moment several had fallen behind schedule.
