Ha, funny enough I always said that the end of the WDW Splash Mountain, basically from the Laffin' Place fall to the end, seemed like a trip that was going bad...I don't particularly have much in the way of firsthand knowledge of what that's like, but the laughter during that time just seems like it gets weirder and weirder as you near the end.

Having just done Disneyland for the first time back on the last day of June, yeah, the pacing on a lot of Disneyland versions of rides feels like it's a lot quicker, less room to breathe, which makes Pirates stand out as an exception (albeit with the annoying movie tie-ins put in, as well).
But I love all the odd America Sings leftovers...Like the bird in a gilded cage and the white cats with the foxes in the car.

They took the easy and shortsighted approach to two of the three. UOEs traveling theater and GMR both could have easily been updated and would remain D/E tickets. Both of those rides had opportunity but instead we get Iger IPs replacing them.

BLT I only included because they aren't just adding rides and expanding, they're replacing which to me is not exactly the same.

Disagree. When Universe of energy was recreated/updated with Ellen it did not pack in the crowds. In my opinion when an attraction is no longer a viable attraction, meaning it's just not attracting people, replacement is better then updating it.

We flame Disney when they do overlays, Let's use Marvel at DCA as an example of that. And there is a huge difference. Tower of Terror was still drawing in crowds. So here you can make the case that they should have built a separate attraction rather than replace a popular attraction. But the Backlot tour Universal energy were not popular attractions. It gets to the point where once you get to a certain cost of updating you just should say, why don't we scrapped this in build something brand new. There's nothing wrong with that. Whether or not Guardians of the Galaxy should even be in Epcot, that's an argument I understand. But closing Universe of energy, that's a done deal and should have been done quite some time ago.

Shanghai Disney will Keep pooh. He was banned for use on social media. That's all. What does likely mean that your picture with the character will not be able to be posted on your social media account in China.
So no meet and greet photos of the Pooh characters are allowed either? Seriously!?

Trouble is something worse will replace it, Quality is a term no longer associated with WDW

Disagree. WDW has its critics, but the
Ah Soarin 2.0, Hardly groundbreaking but WDW fans are so desperate for SOMETHING new they will rave about it. It's nice I'm sure but greatest E-ticket in Disney history ah no.

Its not soaring 2.0 but it is groundbreaking. Its approval ratings are through the roof so stop trying to make it sound like it's not.
I know you're the resident curmudgeon:)here but you've got to give credit where credit is due and they've hit a homerun with this attraction. You can try to spin it like they haven't but you know that they have. Grand slam maybe not but definitely a homerun.
