Splash Mountain here is like a crazy acid trip. Holy crap. Magic Kingdom wins hands down.
I took my 5 year old on Anaheim's version (where you sit single file) at about 11pm one night pitch dark and they made her sit in the front of the log. She was scarred for life by the experience. Took about ten years before she would ride the one in Florida because it was so traumatic. Yes, we're bad parents. :)

Not at all relevant to Disney, but I just wanted to also share that I'm out on the west coast for the first time this weekend. The Oregon coast to be exact and I'm already in love. A much needed change from Orlando :)
Portlander here! Welcome to my state. I apologize for the clouds today :) Which beach are you at?

I'm currently in Florence and will be heading up to Newport for my best friend's wedding festivities tonight/tomorrow. We'll be back down here to explore Saturday evening through Monday!! And the clouds don't bother me, it's the "cold" getting to me lol. It's 62 and I'm freezing :hilarious:
That's the best weather.:D Come down to Georgia and experience humidity of Orlando:p

That's the worst kept secret about the Oregon coast. Don't expect typical beach weather. There is a reason nobody calls it the "beach"! :D I hope you enjoy your time, just don't forget to pile on the hoodies and scarves!

Been to DL once last October for me and The Wife's anniversary. Had a blast. The amount of rides they squeeze in 2 parks was impressive. No buses was nice. Indy and Alice were great, as was Cali Screamin. Got to ride TOT with all lights off. Some thing they were doing before they shuttered it. Want to go back really bad. Glad you're having a good time, Mike.

Knott's is a lot of fun, too.
It's interesting to see where Tony Baxter got all his best ideas from. :p

The fact that the other large castle parks that can physically accommodate this parade, MK, DLP, and SHDL, aren't willing or haven't considered forking over the money to clone something of QUALITY like this infuriates me.
Field of Dreams...If you build it, they will come!

WDW...If you DON'T build it, they will still come, so why bother.

I went on the Tomorrowland track of the Matterhorn and got a migraine lol! Just got off RSR for the 4th time! I like the Indy in Tokyo better by a slight amount because the projectile scene had 3D set pieces and not cardboard cutouts. I also did the Cardboard Classics. I think the PP (haha) in MK is better bc of the 3D London and the huge Neverland. Alice was by far the best cardboard classic.
