A Spirited Valentine ...

Wait, so you think Space Mountain and Haunted Mansion are better at WDW?

I mean, that's cool and everything if you think so.
Now I am basing this off the original design and intent, but the WDW version of Space Mountain is indeed the better version. I know it has gotten rough over the years and needs a retracking, but the full scope of the attraction was larger and more ambitious than it's Disneyland counterpart. The original queue was vast and beautifully done, it was the perfect act 1 to the whole experience (until you got to the switchback queue) You begin your journey already in space, so the queue was designed to look like you were in a space station, preparing to rocket back to earth. The 3-D window displays were so very unique, music and back tracks were ominous and epic...and in the main queue area you could see the glowing rockets on the night skey. The ride itself had a mix of turns and drops, not just the gentle inclines that Disneyland does, and ends with a walk through of the home of the future... The overall original attraction was so much more then a rollercoaster in darkness... it was a journey... It is sad it has become rough, and the show scenes and original score are long gone, but yes! The WDW Spce Mountain was definitely the better version...

Haven't seen Cars 3 yet but I have heard from members on this site that it reminds them of Test Track over at EPCOT.
I'm looking forward to seeing the SW model at D23. I've been following the project over on the DLR thread - massive project. Hopefully more details coming in the coming months.
There is an scene in the movie that definitively shows something similar to what you see at Test Track.

Also, Cars 3 is definitively close to Cars 1, Cars 2 was utter crap.

News of a major delay to either Star Wars expansion would be toxic to Disney's stock price. Did you consider that?
They seem to be going on schedule for Disneyland, I dont think they care THAT much on DisneyWorld much lol.
I mean, now that Pandora is a huge hit...

and the temporary offerings
The hat was also "temporary". Anyone remembers how long that thing lasted? lol

So, after seeing the foundations laid for the buildings, one being built, and the surrounding 'walls' going up, upon which the rockwork and facades will rest... are you really saying that they can't finish this by December of 2019? That's 29 months away from now, and 45 months from groundbreaking.

Keep in mind, Pandora was doing previews 40 months from groundbreaking.

I'm not wishing for it to miss its deadline, It just wouldn't surprise me. Of all the recent lands, the Imagineers are under a lot of pressure not to mess Star Wars up. There's very few Pandora fanboys out there.

At least I'm not some conspiracy theorist who still thinks it will never open (yet has now shifted their stance to being "won't open simultaneously" with DL).

And has shifted even more to "it will be budget cut" and that the Launch Bay is an indication of what the land will be like. I mean ... LMAO

As ugly as the BAH was it was FAR better executed than the 'Launch Bay' and it was only supposed to be in place for ONE YEAR. The BAH was a 'Disney' production in all senses of the word.

How many times do I have to say this? LOL. Launch Bay and the temporary offerings should not be viewed as what they can and will do with Star Wars Land. Are you ignoring the concept art? It's nothing like that. I understand some of your reservations on things but this shouldn't be one of them. I don't know why you keep insisting these offerings will have any bearing on how the land will look.

It's claims like these that have your actual valid points get lost.

I think what they offer now is lame and of course they could do better. I'm not excusing it but I have no doubts SWL will look fantastic.

I AM ignoring the concept art because at WDW the finished product never looks anywhere close to the concept art, Wait there was ONE exception and that was 'Tiki Shrug' at the Poly there the concept art matched the pathetic finished product

Just show me what amazing things Disney has done recently, Cars Land was about the last Disney production which amazed me. Since then it's all 'might have beens'

New Builds: Pandora, Harambe expansion, Shanghai's Pirates, Roaring Rapids exploration area, Mystic Manor.

Entertainment: Mickey and the Magical Map, some of the SDL shows, some (though not all versions of WoC), Frozen at DCA, Muppets Great moments in history.

Disney Springs is fantastic actually.

Lots more things that are great, but more controversial purely based on the IP-phobia.
