Well, there are also all of the "Snoke this" and "Snoke that" bits, as well as something along the lines of "You must kill Han Solo, your father" (idk, I haven't watched the movie in awhile).

I'll throw in "Do you have a boyfriend? Cute boyfriend?" and "Where's my boyfriend?"

I know that 'girlfriend' was used in Attack of the Clones, but at least that didn't feel as forced.

I'm not a SW super fan, but I thought the cute boyfriend line was hilarious when I first saw TFA.

I've NEVER said that SWL would not open, What I've said is Wall St will not ALLOW TWDC to open TWO of them simultaneously, We as Disney fans know they are a license to print money but the reality is Wall St HATES theme parks and would much prefer that TWDC not build them at all. I would not be surprised if SWL in WDW opening in 2021-22.

There is no way in HELL that DL SWL is not opening on time in 2019, WDW OTOH ???

For the record, I expect SWL at WDW to miss its deadline. But it won't have anything to do with Wall Street pressure. If anything, they'd want the land fast-tracked to strike while the iron is hot and milk the IP for all it's worth.

Imagineering tinkering and construction issues, as always, will slow it down.

So, after seeing the foundations laid for the buildings, one being built, and the surrounding 'walls' going up, upon which the rockwork and facades will rest... are you really saying that they can't finish this by December of 2019? That's 29 months away from now, and 45 months from groundbreaking.

Keep in mind, Pandora was doing previews 40 months from groundbreaking.

Personally i prefer Star Trek and Babylon 5, DW is the StarWars superfan in the house. And even she says 'Meh' to the new stuff she loves all things Rey however.

But I see the pictures that DW brings back from SW Celebration or whatever the heck its called and see the care thats taken on the sets. Then go to Disneys launch bay and the only word that fits is Lazy and cheap. Yet Disney has the entire contents of Skywalker Ranch at their disposal.

Heck singapore had a full scale X-wing perhaps Disney might have used one of the empty soundstages at DHS for a rebel hangar walkthrough.

Disney Star Wars has become what Mel Brooks as Yogurt parodied in Spaceballs. It's all about the Moychendising...
I do not see the problem with exploiting merchandise.. Look at Cars.. so so movies with its mediocre or average spins.. yet sold billions in merch.

I always thought this was a bizarre argument against "historical" films. Any film about a historical event (even fiction) has the final outcome already decided. But maybe...just maybe...there are details that are worth exploring. Maybe there is value in the journey transcending that found in the destination...

So have you never watched a film twice? What would be the point? You already knew how it ended!

Seriously though, I actually thought R1 was interesting in how it brought a different genre film (the war film) to the "Star Wars Universe." It was nice to finally see them e x p a n d their universe, to let us see something other than Skywalkers for a change...
Even then the best scene in the movie involved a Skywalker ;)

Hooray! I love and appreciate his tribute videos. And Horizons is my all-time favorite attraction.

I know it must be allergies, but watching that made me tear up. I can't tell you how much enjoyment that ride used to bring me...the 3 kids sitting in the front row..us in the back...the kids arguing over which button to press for the voyage home...and why is it that space always seemed to win :) Now..as of 4 months ago, I'm a grandfather, just like the guy in the ride at the end...only I can never bring my "Billy" on this ride to showcase his own Horizons...sigh.....life goes on I guess...

For SWL to not open at DHS by the end of 2019, we would be looking at a Pop Century Legendary Years-type of situation. Outside of a catastrophic weather event causing massive damage at WDW, I don't see that happening.

Haven't seen Cars 3 yet but I have heard from members on this site that it reminds them of Test Track over at EPCOT.
I'm looking forward to seeing the SW model at D23. I've been following the project over on the DLR thread - massive project. Hopefully more details coming in the coming months.

Nah just 'soil mechanics' or some similar handwave routine.

Because if ESPN continues its current trajectory by 2019 it will be operating at a loss.

Wall St is going to expect their current level of share repurchases so all other Divisions will be required to make up the revenue lost from ESPN.

Its not hard to figure that construction at WDW will come to a screeching halt to fill that revenue deficit.

Sorry kids thats life on Wall St a choice between building attractions and funneling money to Wall St. the money funnel is always gonna win

Learn the difference between revenue and income, then come back.

You know before it's even open that it will be "missing those tiny details"? Really? How?

Perhaps the craptastic Launch Bay... which will have been operating for a minimum of 5 years IF opening day happens on schedule.

Ive seen better sets done by our High School drama club.

There is NO excuse for the poor production values except that Todays Disney thinks they can get away with them. If thats the case why should WDW SWL be any better?

Disney has EVERY Star Wars prop st Skywalker Ranch and this is the best a global conglomerate can come up with

Puhleeze....

News of a major delay to either Star Wars expansion would be toxic to Disney's stock price. Did you consider that?
