What is the big push all of a sudden to revamp/add hotels? I like it, just don't get what has changed all of a sudden since that area of the world has been pretty dormant the last decade or so. Unless of course your a DVC member.

A great add would be a hotel with themed rooms based on classic Disney attractions ie Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the caribbean, etc..I feel that would be a very popular place.

Not all of a sudden. TWDC has been reporting 86 - 89% occupancy rates for quite a while now (yeah their numbers) so Bob stated at one of the earnings calls that they would be building hotels. So they are. Tough to run an efficient resort operation if you have close to 90% occupancy. It shows in the service

They will be popular, to the extent that I doubt they'll be free like the buses. I suspect they'll haveMagicBand readers so only resort guests can use them free of charge, and everyone else has to pay.

Since the route listed goes to and from resorts, I'd think that will be a majority of the riders. These systems can handle way more than buses so popularity isn't an issue.

There was a rumor awhile back about a themed Haunted Mansion rooms which would be cool. The DVC resort I'm watching for would be Star Wars themed DVC resort with Disney charging $200 per point. I think, IMO, DVC is a rip off but I might drink the Kool-Aid if that resort would be built.

Speaking of themed IP centric resorts-

Why are there so few of them? I mean, I'd probably book a room at a Star Wars hotel or a Princess themed hotel or similar stuff. There are specific themed rooms all over but what about entire resorts? Then again, if they went down this path I can see where it might end up:

All-Star Movies Resort => Mickey's Hollywood Movie Resort
All-Star Music Resort => Rock'n Roller Resort
All-Star Sports Resort => Disney's ESPN: The Resort
Animal Kingdom Lodge => Lion King Lodge
Art of Animation Resort => Already done
Beach/Yacht Club Resort => Anna/Elsa's Summer Club Resort
BoardWalk => Olaf's "In Summer" Resort
Caribbean Beach Resort => Pirates of the Caribbean Beach Resort
Contemporary=> Disney's Star Wars Resort/Jedi Tower
Contemporary/Bay Lake Tower => Disney's Star Wars Resort/Sith Tower
Coronado Springs => Kuzcotopia
Fort Wilderness => Donald's "Good Scouts" Resort featuring Huey Dewey and Louie
Grand Floridian Resort => Minnie's Victorian Adventure
Old Key West Resort => TaleSpin Resort
Polynesian Village => Disney's Tiki Room Village
Pop Century => Disney Channel Resort
Port Orleans => Tiana and Naveen Bayou Resort
Saratoga Springs => Aristocat Landing
Wilderness Lodge => Brother Bear Lodge

I think people want to stay in exotic locations, not made-up ones.

It's bad enough having IP shoved down our throats at the parks, the last thing we need is to have all the existing hotels mutilated by it as well!

I was being slightly facetious... I guess that went over everyone's head.

But I'm all for staying in made up locations if you want to be honest. They're all idealized/sanitized versions of "exotic" locations anyway.
It would either be tacky or "immersive" where you're stuck eating blue milk and wampa lampa fruit for breakfast. No thanks.
