Disney thinks everything and anything is a "classic" (so far as their marketing and interview content is concerned). However, I'd still expect Toontown to go simply because no one has said anything about a change in plans.

I suppose you never had a crash, FPS being misplaced or disappearing.
I did.. and its not fun in any way. Specially when the CMS tell you that you can no longer assigns FPs for the day.
Or worse.. when they artificially inflate the waiting times of the normal queue.

I had an issue where the system crashed and all the fast passes were wiped out though I take screen shots of our fastpasses, we showed the CM at the correct time and they let us right through no problem since the screen shot showed the time and correct date. She was like " FP+ crashed today so it makes sense that you had an issue, I'll fix that for you. Good thing you had a screenshot." I had to do that for the attractions that way but at least I was still able to use them.

The best thing about the system going down are those magical yellow hand written Fast Passes that Guest Relations distributes. Problem is they do not give them to everyone and will flat out deny they even exist.

They are also usually "limited", I guess I really don't get to phased by it all since I could go so often now. I became an Aper last year and before that was like 15 years so a lot was new to me as well as exciting. I was the one who introduced my gf to the rest of the parks as she had only gone to MK 15 years ago as well. So its all newer to her and was fun having her experience it for the first time.

I've never had one that was "limited." Good for any attraction, any time. Kind of like the older re-ad tickets from years ago. They would also give you four or five of them for each person in your party. On top of that CMs would let you keep them and you could use them on other attractions. I am sure that was not the plan but that is how I experienced FP+ downtime on three different occasions.

Long long time lurker. Spirit's Iger/Disney-China conflict has to be unsettling on many levels, whether publicly acknowledged in the press, as of today, or not. From what I understand of the CCP's practices, Iger and Staggs' itineraries were planned well in advance of either one stepping on a plane and undoubtedly were originally cleared by the CCP. Usually these higher level dealings are planned down to the minute detail, size of the table, where people sit, pens to be used, etc. So at some point there had to have been a CCP meeting once they landed and wherein it was "decided" by the CCP that Iger and Staggs would be unavailable for further public festivities. When was that meeting, who else would have been there (CCP officials), what happened and why? Sounds like Mr. Spirit knows and hopefully will share the extent of what he has heard soon. How one could not find this curious and at least unsettling without additional info. I fail to comprehend.

Welcome to the forums! Thank you for posting your thoughts.

Speculation and innuendo are often unsettling, and often times unnecessarily so. Not everything conveyed by unnamed sources pans out. Remember 2013 was going to be the last time Osborne Lights would be seen at the Studios Park, the 7 Dwarfs Mine Train was not going to open or the cars would not swing back and forth when it did and Pandora land was never going to amount to as much as concept art, much less get built. Other things have, in fact, proven to be true. The pin station sorcerer's hat is, indeed, gone.

@Sun Tzu you are making a lot of assumptions which are themselves based upon assumptions. Maybe time will prove the concerns to be for good reason but perhaps the reason things did not unfold as you would expect was due to something other than what you presume. Me, I have no idea. But while I am curious to see where this goes, I am not unsettled in the absence of facts.

When sources go on the record, read what they say and decide whether to be unsettled. Is that fair?

THATS WHAT I WANT...I think that feeling of fear adds realism to if Jurassic Park actually existed. If we could meet raptors, I would be nervous as heck going up there even to get a picture taken.

It sounds like you need to plan a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN.

They have the scariest dinosaur ride I could ever imagine.

Apparently it costs $15 a ride since it's a stand alone attraction, but man...seriously...I'm surprised folks haven't totally flipped out on it.

Saw "Tomorrowland." B-/C+ at best.

Reviews/Criticism inside the SPOILER TAG! (Which everyone should use, especially if you reply to this)

Right off the bat, Damon Lindelhof - of "Lost" fame - cowrote and produced this. So if you enjoy being messed with, Your kinda film.

For a film that calls itself "Tomorrowland," we barely spend 10 minutes in the place. Its a place where all the dreamers of the world can come together and do all sorts of cool inventing & futurist stuff.

Act 1 is the basic introduction to the characters & all sorts of random easter eggs for the hardcore Disney fans and a glimpse at Tomorrowland. Act 2 is "We have to go back" ... and people are trying to kills us, without any exposition why or exactly what Tomorrowland is or really WHY theyre out for blood. Act 3 is rather short, and does the "We have to save the world - and this is why" and "Saving Ex Machina" occuring within 15 minutes of one another.

Frank (Clooney) is essentially the 'get off my lawn' archetype while Casey (Britt Robertson) is the opposite, where anything is possible. Athena (Raffey Cassidy) plays the mysterious young girl that connects the two.

I likes the themes of the movie, Making the world a better place, dreaming, inventing, etc. The execution falls very short. It didnt flow and I really didnt get emotionally involved whatsoever. The pacing is pretty bad. The action scenes are cool. Decent character development in the opening act but the total lack of exposition and exploration of Tomorrowland as a location just killed it for me.

My favorite part of the film? Keegan-Michael Kay. Dude made me laugh.

But seeing this immediately after the Star Wars Trailer? Total let down.

I am an APer and live an hour away from the Parks. I tend to use the system a lot and seen plenty of improvement over time.

I'm not going to sit here and debate the merits of NextGen/mm+/MDX for the millionth time. My thoughts are well established on it.

Suffice to say, Disney is no longer the nice relaxing, spontanious place it was in late 2004.

I saw it in IMAX. Pretty much same as you. I liked it but it had problems. The Star Wars Trailer looked great on the huge screen though :D What really disappoints me though is that I doubt the movie will be successful enough for Disney to want to use it as a jumping off point for a Tomorrowland redo. It really would be perfect.

Seems like a love it/hate it film. I'm firmly in the "meh" camp.....

So the day after an unreliable website says FP+ will be testing this year at DLR, the LA Times quotes Disney officials saying that Magic Bands will not be coming to Anaheim anytime soon.

Another curious note is about Star Wars, saying there are no plans to get rid of classic attractions while they add Star Wars. I wonder if ToonTown and Roger Rabbit are considered classic or favorite attractions in Disney’s eyes.

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-...eyland-but-no-magic-bands-20150521-story.html

Well.... There is an arcade that is mostly abandoned in Tomorrowland and it is 2 levels. There is the Magic Eye theater that can go... There is a lame pizza restaurant that was mission to mars... The American Sings 2 story theater building is some kind of Innoventions rip off garbage thing. And the abandoned Rocket Rods/People Mover track.

No real classic attractions in Disneyland's Tomorrowland anymore. Heck I would slay The submarine Nemo thing and AstroBlasters.... That would leave Star Tours and Space Mountain in the land proper and Astro Orbiter out front. If they cut into Autopia's space that would create giant space and not do much if anything to "Classic" attractions. They leave the 3 legacy attractions untouched....
