Even at the MK, it is so easy for someone like me (or many of you) to game the system. All it takes is brains and a few minutes online to book three big attractions (let's say two mountain and SDMT or two of those and PPF) and then arrive in the evening with those booked, do another 5-6 attractions that are almost walk-ons and call it a night. All without spending a penny in the park.

I can hit the WDW key nine attraction/experience metric in four hours with an ice cream or a stop in a gift shop.

Again, it's the people who don't know better who book a FP to meet Cindy, a FP to ride the Mad Tea Party and a FP to view the MSEP who are getting screwed by this. And many are first-timers who won't return.

So much for a 'Bigger Slice of the Guests Wallet' ...

I don't think it is just SWWs. TDO has decided that EPCOT is so successful at selling obscene quantities of overpriced booze to try and export it to DAK and Disney-MGM (yes, back to its rightful name since that hat is scrap!) ... There are bars and what I'd term pop-up barns all over those parks. And it does encourage people to drink more than if you had to search for a real bar. Could this be a cause for much of the obnoxious Guest behavior that has popped up over the last last decade? You betcha!

Couple the alcohol with Disney's lax alcohol service standards (are they standing, do they have cash or CC and 'appear' to be 21, Ok serve em). And you have the perfect recipe for some of the loutish behavior seen at the parks.

At least in my State there are severe penalties for overserving, Yes the bar can lose it's liquor license, BUT the BARKEEP (NOT the owner unless they are the owner) can also go to jail as it's a crime (misdemeanor) to overserve up here. The state has it's own 'booze cops' with guns to enforce the liquor laws and they LIKE tossing people who overserve and serve minors in jail.

So some of my attitudes toward overserving have been shaped by my environment and having relatives in the hospitality business (They serve alcohol because they have to for competitive reasons but they would stop in an instant if they could to escape the heavy hand of the State, And many restaurants DON'T serve alcohol for this reason)

Is this a patent troll lawsuit, it sounds like it.
InCom is a real company that actually does stuff, so it isn't solely a patent troll. It appears that the patents it claims Disney violated are ones it developed, as opposed to purchased, which isn't the classic patent troll activity. That doesn't mean this suit isn't patent troll activity, though.

See...told ya.
I'm so happy I bought stock at 16 :joyfull:
Interestingly enough, stocks in this industry have performed well. Six Flags, Cedar, Merlin, Blackstone, ect...have all had steady rises over the past years. SEAS can be no different will the right management and marketing which I think is happening.

BTW, any feelings on Rocco's Tacos? They started down this end of the state and seem very popular with the Lifestylers (I am assuming they gave free grub to them when they opened). I wanted to try the Dr. Phillips one, but ran out of time.

The Roccos in Dr. Phillips is pretty awesome. Each room has its own bar area, and there is a great party atmosphere going on, even when you are sitting down to eat. It can get pretty loud though, so not the best place for an intimate dinner. Cinco de Mayo, they close down a big section of the parking lot and have a block party with entertainment and drink booths. I happened to be there once on the Owner's bday celebration and he was giving away free bottles of pretty pricey Tequila as he rode around on a motorized cooler for reasons like best beard or a certain color shirt.

unless of course..MM+ goes down or screws your FP selection for no reason at all ;)

My guess would be yes based on my experience with patents and dealing with patent laws on a few of mine.

The way it works is that it is ok if company A has the first step in the process that is being used. So for example they create A. Then I come in and create, B, C, D, E. But I use A to get to B and so on.

I will have to pay a royalty or license fee to the Company A but I should still own Patents B, C, D, E.

I knew when I posted the remark about drinking at Epcot that people would be only too happy to share their "I NEVER did anything like that" recollections. These forums have so many members that you can always get a counterpoint on any topic whatsoever. Gold stars to all who have never participated in "drink around the world" or similar shenanigans. Truly. It is too bad that "to drink or not to drink" is so divisive among otherwise tolerant and like-minded individuals. :lookaroun

The point I would like to make to the "I never" crowd is this: There are going to be people who are going to drink at Epcot, especially at night and most especially in the World Showcase. The presence of a few who get overserved does not turn the entire population of World Showcase during food and wine or any other time into a drunken mob. I recognize you are unlikely to change your mind no matter what may be written or shared, so this post is for those who do choose to partake, to give them a voice in the discussion.

Now, who's up for a discussion on refillable mugs or pool crashing at Deluxe hotels? :)

Zoolander 2. I'm there opening night.
snow white and the huntsman 2?
they are going to hunt maleficient now or what?

also, the nutjob was the worst animated movie I ever seen in my whole life.
the movie starts good, then it seems like they changed directors and animated studio...
because everything goes to carp. even the backgrounds downgrade and have less quality!!
Then you get an insane flood or Psy(the singer) references in all the credits.

I'm scratching my head how it was selected for a second movie.
Perhaps it was so cheap to produce/animate in South Korea?
