Sounds like someone got sprinkled with something that wasn't pixie dust. I don't get how anything he was saying implies entitlement?

EDIT: I meant entitlement by the negative definition (2) of course. Are CPs / CMs not in fact entitled to park access as part of the benefits / compensation? Sounds to me like it's just someone who was proud of their job.

entitlement
noun en·ti·tle·ment \-ˈtī-təl-mənt\
1) the condition of having a right to have, do, or get something
2) the feeling or belief that you deserve to be given something (such as special privileges)
3) a type of financial help provided by the government for members of a particular group

I think you should re-read his posts. His justification of douchey behavior because of long hours and "minimum wage" would by your posted definition fall under entitlement.

But if they could literally replace Tomorrowland and move any cherished elements of it to Epcot...

How many billion dollars do you think that would cost?

Same with people who want to move carousel of progress are small world over to Epcot. How many billions of dollars do you think this is going to cost?

Had CM friend check and it looks like 142 blockout dates at the Magic Kingdom for 2014. I think equating 39% to "almost half" is a bit of a stretch.

In 2014, CM were blocked out of Magic Kingdom a total of 154 days or approximately 42% of all days. This year through June CM are blocked out 100 days vs 65 days in 2014 through June.... which equates to a 54% increase from prior year. In fact all the parks have had an increase vs. prior year on CM blocked out days.

"Increased" from what? Epcot had something like 10 blockout dates last year, and half of that was Christmas.

More useless cast block out information: In 2014 EC was blocked out 17 days, Studios 44 Days and Animal Kingdom 32 days which was a 60% increase in blockout days for those parks vs. 2013. Additionally, over half of the weekend days were blocked out of Magic Kingdom in 2014...so those of us that work M-F were unable to visit half the time.
So yes, CM are blocked out a lot and it is supposed to be a major benefit of working for a Theme Park.

I think you and your friends are in the small minority of cast-as-guests. See every post in this and other threads about "lifestylers." Off-duty Cast Members are among the worst perpetrators when it comes to taking up space, acting entitled, and not spending any money. I'm not saying this is true for all or even the majority of CMs, but it's something that needs to be addressed nonetheless. Cast members shouldn't be Disneybounding down Main Street, talking loudly about the fact that they're off-duty cast members to look cool or joking about how "Cinderella got hammered in the dorms last night and f****d an Epcot PhotoPass guy"*. It's obnoxious and bad show to boot. Maybe you and your friends are respectful when you enter the Parks, but that's not the case with all off-duty CMs. The worst of the bunch are the CPs who do the program not for any experiential benefit but for an excuse to party in Florida and take a semester off.

Obviously not all CM are great representatives of the quality CM that really work for WDW. There are over 70k CM that work at WDW, so a few idiots that make us look bad is really sad. I can't believe people would be so crass... I mean I can believe it, but it makes me really sad. Most of the CM I know are very respectful and WDW ambassadors to their friends and family.

Yukyukyuk. Disney has to know that microtransactions are hated and despised, yes? And that they're an entirely illegitimate revenue stream driven by impulsive 12-year-olds with smartphones racking up Clash of Clans charges without their parents' knowledge or consent?

Disney is a business... Money is all that matters.
